Integration of WordPress and Calendly

I am going to start my article with a brief description of WordPress and Calendly. Then, I will describe the benefits of integrating them. Finally, I will make a conclusion about their integration.

WordPress

WordPress is a free and open source Content Management System (CMS. based on PHP and MySQL that uses a MySQL database to store all its data. Its core is written in PHP and it has a HTML interface that can be used to manage the content of your website. It was created by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little on May 27th, 2003. WordPress has over 80 million active websites with more than 42% of them using the CMS in multi-language mode. It is compatible with most web hosting providers and supports almost all popular browsers. WordPress is licensed under the GPLv2 or later.

Calendly

Calendly is an online scheduling software that enables you to set up meetings with your clients or cpleagues. You can schedule your meeting right from your email or phone. You can also add as many slots as you want for every day of the week. No more back and forth trying to find a time that works for everyone, just select from a few options and you’re done! Calendly allows you to share your calendar with people outside your organization if needed. This means that you can pick from multiple times that work for your company, then share the link with your clients and they can pick one that works for them too! Calendly is easy to use and very intuitive. With Calendly, everything is organized and streamlined so you can focus on what matters most!

Benefits of Integration of WordPress and Calendly

Integrating WordPress and Calendly allows scheduling appointments via WordPress and embedding them as your website’s content (as opposed to inserting a link. This way, users don’t need to leave your site in order to set up an appointment (which increases conversion rate. In addition, it saves your customers some time since they don’t need to fill in any additional information (name, email, date, etc.. Finally, it allows you to edit appointments directly from the WordPress admin panel instead of logging into a separate page. Moreover, it is easier to set up appointments from your website’s front end than from its back end (where you would have to find the “schedule appointments” option every time. All these features make this integration a good choice for businesses who want to attract new customers as well as provide better service to existing ones.

Integration of WordPress and Calendly

In order to integrate WordPress and Calendly, you need to install a plugin called Calendarize It! which is compatible with any version of WordPress (1.5 – 4.0. After installing the plugin, you need to create an account on Calendly, which is free. The first step is purchasing a license ($10/month. After purchasing a license, you can log into your account and go to “My Account” -> “Manage Users” -> “Add”. Then enter “wpcal” as the username, choose “Calendarize It! Plugin for WordPress” as the app and click “Add User”. Now you need to install the Calendarize It! plugin on your website. If you have just installed WordPress onto your site, then simply activate the plugin by clicking “Activate Plugin & Setup Wizard” in the WP Admin Panel -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins -> Calendarize It!. The next step is adding a shortcode in the editor of any post or page that you want to display appointments on your site. To do that, go to WP Admin Panel -> Posts -> Add New or any other page or post that already has content -> Editor -> Visual -> Add shortcode button -> Calendarize It! shortcode button -> Select the date format (see below. -> Add shortcode button -> OK button -> Publish button. After doing this, go to WP Admin Panel -> Calendarize It! -> Settings -> Calendarize It! Shortcode Formats section -> Set Start Date format -> Set End Date format -> Enable time selection option -> Save Changes button. Once you have done this, go back to WP Admin Panel -> Calendarize It! -> Settings -> Calendarize It! Shortcode Formats section -> Set Time Zone Format -> Set Time Zone Offset Option -> Save Changes button. Finally, go to WP Admin Panel -> Calendarize It! -> Settings -> General tab -> Check Show Appointment Status Icon checkbox -> Save Changes button. Now you are all set up! You can now go to any post or page where you have added the shortcode and see the calendar embedded within it. You can also use the shortcode [cint_appt] anywhere on your site (e.g., in a widget area. and see the same results.

Benefits of Integration of WordPress and Calendly

The benefits of integrating WordPress and Calendly are listed below:

Conversion Rate. In addition to improving customer experience, it also improves conversion rate by making scheduling appointments easier for customers who don't want to leave your site in order to set up an appointment (as opposed to posting links. Since customers don't need to fill in any additional information after setting up an appointment (name, email, date etc.), it saves them some time which makes them more likely to convert into paying customers.

Customer Experience. Customers who have purchased a product or service from you become loyal customers if they receive good customer service. So providing good customer service is important for success of your business. Integrating WordPress and Calendly allows you to offer better customer service because it enables you to set up appointments directly from your website without having to redirect users to another page (i.e., a different location. Thus, setting up an appointment becomes easier for customers which is another reason why they will become repeat customers in future.

Easy Scheduling. Setting up appointments through WordPress itself is easy because it doesn't require users to register anywhere before setting up an appointment (i.e., no need for extra steps. Moreover, there is no need for customers to fill in any additional information or fill out long forms in order to set up an appointment since all they need is their name, email address and date at this point (they can provide additional details afterwards. Another advantage of integrating WordPress and Calendly is that it makes scheduling appointments easier for customers who schedule appointments regularly. On other platforms, they would have to keep track of different time zones and manually calculate offset time if they are planning an international meeting which requires them to know GMT time difference as well as their local time zone offset from GMT time difference. By integrating these two tops, customers don't have to worry about calculating offsets anymore because this platform does it automatically for them by going off their local time zone offset from UTC (Universal Time Code. So overall, this integration makes scheduling appointments much easier for customers in general compared with other platforms that don't offer such functionality because it removes all unnecessary details and makes scheduling appointments faster for them. As a result, this integration makes customers' lives easier which improves customer experience which may lead directly to conversion rate improvements because happy customers are more likely to become repeat customers in future due to this improved user experience (which gives them more reasons not only to come back but also recommend your products/services to their friends/family members.
