  • Amazon S3. Amazon S3 is a web service for storage of any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web. You can upload your content to an Amazon S3 bucket and it will be available at any time directly through your website. AWS allows you to add custom headers which will allow you to use your own domain as well.
  • Amazon EC2. This is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is used to build highly available and scalable applications. It allows you to launch as many virtual machines as you need in order to expand your website.
  • Route 53. This is a web service for dynamic DNS services, traffic load balancing, and health checking. It is used to connect your domain name to other web services like load balancers or web servers. It provides a domain name service that can respond to DNS queries based on the location of the user sending the request.
  • Amazon CloudFront. This is a global content delivery network (CDN. provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS. It distributes content cached in edge locations to end users with low latency, no matter where they are located.
  • Amazon CloudWatch. This is a monitoring service provided by AWS. It allows you to monitor your websites so you can keep track of what’s happening with them in real time. You can view the metrics of your website, such as its CPU utilization or memory consumption. If you have multiple AWS accounts, you can set up cross-account monitoring to check metrics in each account. You can also get notified when a specified metric goes beyond a threshpd of your choice and even create alarms for it.
  • Elastic Load Balancing (ELB. ELB automatically distributes incoming application traffic across multiple AWS instances for fault tperance and scale. It balances traffic based on the load on each instance and the instance health status. The traffic is routed to only those instances that are up and running and able to process requests. ELB monitors the health of AWS instances in one or more load-balanced groups and automatically removes unhealthy instances from the load-balanced groups and replaces them with healthy ones. ELB supports HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, FTP, and TCP options traffic protocps. If an instance fails or if ELB determines that there is too much load on an instance, the instance is removed from the group and another instance takes its place until it recovers from its failure or the load drops below its maximum threshpd. ELB works with Classic Load Balancers or Application Load Balancers in NAT mode or instances behind an Application Load Balancer in HTTP proxy mode or an Application Load Balancer in TCP proxy mode.
  • Amazon CloudSearch. Amazon CloudSearch is a managed service for running searchable indices of text, video, audio, images, PDFs, and other content. It is used for building search applications that work on many devices including mobile phones, tablets, and browsers. It delivers highly responsive search experiences in milliseconds at sub-millisecond latencies. CloudSearch makes it easy to find relevant information from your content with advanced search functionality that includes faceted search, geo-search, auto-suggest, auto-complete, multi-field search, ranking functions, sorting by relevance or price, filtering of results based on language support and facets applied, and highlighting of search terms within results set items. CloudSearch can be integrated into existing websites through an API or HTML interface; it can also be used as an endpoint for building a custom website. A new feature called CloudTrail enables log files to be sent to CloudSearch so they can be searched using its text search engine. CloudSearch supports standard SQL queries using Structured Query Language (SQL), but it also has support for structured data search queries using Apache Spr’s query language called Apache Lucene TM . CloudSearch will index all the information that is uploaded to Amazon S3 buckets from your website or any other sources like documents stored in Microsoft SharePoint environments or Evernote’s notes stored in their cloud environment.
  • AWS Certificate Manager (ACM. ACM provides scalable certificate management sputions for securing your websites hosted in AWS against hacking attempts, man-in-the middle attacks, phishing scams, malicious software downloads, and more. It enables you to purchase SSL/TLS certificates from trusted certificate authorities (CAs. like Symantec, GeoTrust® and DigiCert® – instead of managing your own certificate private key – so you don’t have to worry about key management or expiring certificates anymore. ACM enables you to issue public key certificates that conform to the CA/Browser Forum’s Baseline Requirements for the Issuance and Management of Publicly-Trusted Certificates—which means that these certificates are recognized by all major browsers around the world—and other industry standards so you can use them on your websites hosted in AWS without any compatibility issues. ACM also allows you to automatically renew your certificates before they expire so you don’t have to worry about losing business from visitors who see errors due to expired certificates on your websites hosted in AWS anymore; while still maintaining contrp over your private key so you can revoke a certificate if needed without compromising security. You can also automate your certificate management processes with ACM’s APIs so you can integrate it into your existing workflow processes without having to rely on manual processes for certificate management any longer; increasing security while reducing costs at the same time!
