How WooCommerce & Time Doctor Integrations Work

It is a very simple time tracking/work management top that allows you to fully automate your time logging process. You can use it for both personal and business projects.

Integration of WooCommerce and Time Doctor

In order to integrate WooCommerce with Time Doctor, you need to fplow these steps:

  • Install the plugin. It is the same as installing any other plugin. Go to Admin > Plugins > Add New to find it under Downloadable Plugins. Click “Install Now” to activate it. You will then see a new menu item at the top of your Dashboard called “WooCommerce – Time Doctor”. Click on it to access the settings page.
  • Click on “Edit Settings” under the “WooCommerce – Time Doctor” section. You will see a window like this:
  • In this window, you have to do two things. First, check “Enable integration with Time Doctor” in the Integration section, then enter your API key in the API Key field. If you don't know your API key, just click on the “Get new API key” button on the right side of the window, then copy/paste it into the field on the screen. Then click Save Changes. The integration is now complete.
  • If you want to enable integration of WooCommerce with Time Doctor for all of your users, go to Admin > Settings > General > Time Tracking Settings, then select "Use the Time Doctor Plugin" in the General section. If you are integrating Time Doctor with WooCommerce on behalf of a client, go to Admin > Users > Your Profile, then select "Use the Time Doctor Plugin" in the Profile section.
  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Time & Expenses Settings/Time Tracking for Employees> Time Tracking Settings. Check "Enable WooCommerce Time Tracking". You can also check "Allow employees to clock in via WooCommerce" if you want them to be able to track their time while browsing through their shop. At this point, you should be done with setting up your WooCommerce site for Time Doctor integration. All that's left to do is let your employees know they can track their time via WooCommerce now! Please note that if you are using Easy Digital Downloads or another plugin that integrates with woocommerce, then you will NOT be able to use our time tracking buttons without changing some code on your site. But don't worry! Just contact support and we'll be happy to help you out there.
