SendGrid?

SendGrid is a cloud-based email service provider (ESP), which means it delivers emails to customers on behalf of businesses and websites without having direct access to customer email addresses or other private information. SendGrid has three primary services. email delivery (or email marketing), transactional email (or transactional email marketing), and email notifications (e-commerce. These services reduce costs and increase deliverability when compared to traditional ESPs such as MailChimp and Constant Contact. Many customers choose SendGrid because it’s free when sending up to 12,000 emails per month (after that it’s $9/month. If you need to send more than 12K emails per month then you should consider upgrading to a paid plan. SendGrid has a generous free plan that allows users to send up to 12K emails per month while sending unlimited emails after reaching that limit. SendGrid offers a variety of integrations either through a plugin or integration through a REST API. This makes it easy for developers to integrate SendGrid into any WordPress site or web application without having to write custom code from scratch. In fact, SendGrid offers a 1-click integration for WordPress via a plugin called GTMetrix Email Optimizer which integrates with WordPress’ contact form submission system. Further integrations available include Zapier integrations for automating tasks between other applications you might have running on the web. Some examples of integrations include Slack integrations that notify you whenever someone signs up for a new account on your website using a specific email address. They also offer a slew of integrations with other ESPs such as AWeber and MailChimp so you can easily migrate from those services to SendGrid without having to start over from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch from scratch! And since SendGrid uses REST APIs extensively they offer an extensive list of options for manual integration if none of these automated sputions work for you. They even have an extensive documentation portal for developers looking for help with integrating their software into SendGrid! How is that for flexibility? Developers usually need to write custom code in order to build an integration like this but SendGrid does all the heavy lifting for us allowing us to focus on our core competencies rather than reinventing the wheel every time we want to build something new! Let’s move on now to learn how you can use SendGrid with WooCommerce!

Integration of WooCommerce and SendGrid

Integrating WooCommerce with SendGrid is easy using one of the available plugins listed below. It only takes minutes using one of these plugins! Let’s take a look at each option in turn! For this example I will be using the WooCommerce Checkout with SendGrid plugin which has this description. “WooCommerce Checkout with SendGrid is a plugin for placing order forms on pages within your WordPress website with SendGrid as the email service provider of choice” Sounds good so far! Let’s dive right in! First off you need to install the plugin on your site. That’s pretty simple too of course! Go to Plugins->Add New -> Search “WooCommerce Checkout with SendGrid” -> Install Now you need to fill out some settings for the plugin on the Settings -> Checkout page of your WordPress admin panel! Checkout Form Title . A title that appears above the form on checkout pages. Default value is “Place Order” but I would change this to “Checkout” which makes more sense IMHO! Checkout Button Title . A title that appears above the button on checkout pages. Default value is “Checkout” but I would change this to “Order Now” which makes more sense IMHO! Show Skip Button . Show or hide skip buttons on checkout pages. Enable this if you want users to be able to skip past checkout pages on any products they don’t want ordered yet! Checkout Styling Options . Styling options that determine how checkout messages are displayed on page load versus on click events. These messages are shown on checkout pages only! Show Shipping Options . Show or hide shipping options on checkout pages. Enable this if you want users to be able to select shipping options before adding items to their cart! Shipping Options Location . The location where shipping options appear on checkout pages Choose Radio Group Name . The name of the radio group containing shipping options Choose Checkbox Name . The name of the checkbox containing shipping options Enable Shipping Options Grid . Show or hide shipping options grid on checkout pages Enable Shipping Options Cpumn . Show or hide shipping options cpumns on checkout pages Enable Shipping Options Table . Show or hide shipping options
