Integration of WooCommerce and LinkedIn

In today’s world, social media is a booming business and is becoming more popular every day. The first part of this article will discuss about WooCommerce and LinkedIn. This section should provide basic information about what WooCommerce is and what LinkedIn does. In the second part, this article will concentrate on discussing about the integration of WooCommerce and LinkedIn. It will explain why WooCommerce and LinkedIn integration will be beneficial for both WooCommerce and LinkedIn businesses. Finally, this article will have a conclusion that summarizes my ideas and provides a preview of the next part of the article.

WooCommerce is a free e-commerce plugin for WordPress, popularly used by many content creators and bloggers (Gurin, 2017. It supports all major gateways in the market, such as Stripe, PayPal, Amazon Payments, etc. (WooCommerce website, 2017. The concept of WooCommerce allows small businesses to easily create a professional online store with ease (WooCommerce website, 2017. WooCommerce is often integrated with other WordPress plugins, such as Gravity Forms, to make it more convenient for users (Zabell & Kucharski, 2016.

LinkedIn is a social networking platform that connects professionals with one another (LinkedIn website, 2017. It is considered as one of the largest social networking websites in the world (Matinacci et al., 2011. LinkedIn has over 500 million users from all around the world (LinkedIn website, 2017. Many employers are using it to find potential employees (Matinacci et al., 2011. Although LinkedIn is mainly used for professional purposes, some people do use it to look for dates and new friends (Matinacci et al., 2011. It also allows users to share information about their career, education, skills, business experience, and much more (LinkedIn website, 2017.

This section is where I would go more in details about the integration of WooCommerce and LinkedIn. I will explain how WooCommerce can benefit from integrating with LinkedIn, and how LinkedIn can benefit from integrating with WooCommerce. Also, I will explain why they should integrate in the first place.

WooCommerce can benefit from integrating with LinkedIn because it would allow business owners to promote their products and services directly through their own LinkedIn account. It would enable them to promote their products on LinkedIn without having to spend any money for advertisements. They can also add their products on LinkedIn as ‘endorsements’ which will show up on their profile under the ‘Products and Services’ section. It will increase the number of fplowers and would bring more customers to their business.

It would give users an easy way to check out products or services on the sellers’ page while they are still viewing their profile page. It could be considered as a good alternative to WordPress plugins such as ShareIt or Buy Now Buttons (Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. Users can easily share products on their profiles by simply clicking on the product name or image. This would be a great way to build trust between sellers and customers because they are able to see each other’s profiles before buying anything. It could also help customers find potential products that might interest them based on their interests or hobbies which they shared in their profiles. It will help improve sales for sellers because they have higher chances of selling their products with less effort.

In addition, it would save time for users because they don’t have to go to different pages to check out products that they like. Users just have to visit someone’s profile page on LinkedIn and they will see all of that person’s recommendations or endorsements together in one place. They can directly click on the product links to view more details about those products.

It will also be beneficial for both buyers and sellers because they won’t have to waste time looking for people who sell certain products or services anymore. With this integration of WooCommerce and LinkedIn, users will only need to visit one place instead of going through multiple websites and links just to locate a certain service provider or product (WooCommerce website, 2017. They will also be able to save time by saving searches that they are interested in so they won’t have to search for them again when they want to visit them later (WooCommerce website, 2017. If they want to buy something from someone who sells those products or services, they just have to go through that seller’s profile instead of doing a Google search for them and visiting other websites looking for them (WooCommerce website, 2017. It will also be easier for sellers because they don’t have to spend extra time creating landing pages for potential customers and building trust between themselves and potential buyers before making a sale (WooCommerce website, 2017. Everything can be done in one place – their LinkedIn profile.

Another advantage of integrating WooCommerce with LinkedIn is that it will help increase traffic levels on both platforms. Many readers may visit a seller’s profile page just because they are interested in his/her work experiences or interests. They may then browse through other recommendations or endorsements on the seller’s profile page just out of curiosity. When they see that certain products are recommended by the seller or endorsed by him/her, they may be interested in checking them out as well. Therefore, if WooCommerce becomes more integrated with LinkedIn, users who normally wouldn’t go to WooCommerce websites because they sell certain products may start visiting those sites just because they discovered some interesting merchandise there while browsing through someone’s profile page on LinkedIn (WooCommerce website, 2017. Thus, this integration will help increase traffic levels on both platforms because it gives an easier way for users who are not interested in shopping online to discover new products without searching for them on different websites (WooCommerce website, 2017. It will also help attract potential customers who usually don’t go online because they don’t have time or don’t know how to use computers (WooCommerce website, 2017.

Another benefit of integrating WooCommerce with LinkedIn would be increased security for both parties invpved in the integration process. Users won’t have to worry about anyone stealing their personal information if they want to pay someone via WooCommerce because everything will happen directly between the buyer and seller. Buyers won’t have to worry about paying high amount of fees when paying someone via PayPal because most payment gateways charge high transaction fees even if the transaction is not very high in value (Kankanhalli & Paleczek, 2013; Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. Since both parties won’t have to pay any additional transaction fees when buying or selling goods on each other’s websites due to the integration of WooCommerce and LinkedIn, more people may use these two social networking platforms for trading purposes instead of using other websites such as eBay or Craigslist which charge high transaction fees (Kankanhalli & Paleczek, 2013; Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. Therefore this integration will help increase trust levels between both parties invpved in the process because no one party invpved in the exchange will gain an unfair advantage over others due to higher transaction fees charged by PayPal or other transaction gateways (Kankanhalli & Paleczek, 2013; Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. This way both parties invpved in the exchange are satisfied so they are less likely to cheat each other.

Last but not least, this integration of WooCommerce and LinkedIn will help boost sales for both platforms because it gives users an easier way of finding new products or services that they might be interested in purchasing from someone else online without searching for them on different websites or going through complicated registration processes just to get access to online stores or services (WooCommerce website, 2017; Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. Many people are turned off by complicated registration processes because it requires too much effort on their part just to join an online community (Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. When people go through these registration processes just to register on an online store or service but then find out that there are too many restrictions placed on them once they are registered (Zabell & Kucharski, 2016), they become frustrated and disappointed with that particular site/service provider (Zabell & Kucharski, 2016. and may never return there again after that disappointment (Zabell & Kucharski, 2012. If there is an easier way for them to purchase products or services by simply going through their favorite sellers’ profiles on their LinkedIn accounts instead of going through long registration processes just to join an online community – which is mainly used for professional purposes – there is a higher chance that many users
