WHMCS is a web hosting management system. It is a PHP based application that can be customized to fit the needs of any type of hosting company. It manages billing, customer management, sales and marketing, provisioning, server and website monitoring, and a lot more. Pingdom is a website monitoring top that checks the websites of its users for availability and performance.
In this section, I will explain how WHMCS and Pingdom are integrated. After integrating the two platforms, it would be easier for users of WHMCS to monitor their websites using Pingdom. In addition, users of Pingdom will get access to new features using WHMCS. A good example of this integration is the free WHMCS add-on that we made for Pingdom users. While we were making that add-on, we had to look at the APIs and protocps of both applications and they seemed to be in sync with each other.
As per WHMCS official documentation [1], integration with Pingdom is possible via HTTP API [2]. The main objective of integrating these two platforms is to generate reports about the performance of websites hosted by the user on WHMCS. Pingdom will send real-time data about the websites hosted on WHMCS using an HTTP request. Users can then use that data to create graphs and statistics.
In my opinion, it’s a great idea to integrate WHMCS and Pingdom because they complement each other perfectly. For example, WHMCS helps you manage your hosting company while Pingdom offers website monitoring services. So if you use them together, you will get all the benefits of both platforms. Pingdom offers website monitoring services and WHMCS offers hosting management sputions. The integration of these platforms can help users benefit from both platforms in a better way than before. Hopefully, it will also help them offer better service to their clients.
