Integration of WHMCS and Canny

WHMCS

WHMCS is a software that provides services to manage the hosting of cPanel, Proxmox, Xen, OpenVZ, Virtuozzo, Gluster and CloudLinux. It has been used by more than 200,000 hosting resellers and web hosts across the globe. WHMCS uses a script which requires minimal work and allows for easy and quick installation and updating of the software.

Canny

Canny is a billing application that is open source and works on Linux and Windows. Canny was developed using PHP and MySQL. It can be integrated with WHMCS as an add-on module. This allows the billing of WHMCS hosted accounts to be managed from within WHMCS itself. The integration is possible via simple API calls and requests.

Integration of WHMCS and Canny

To begin the integration, you need to first install and activate the integration module in WHMCS. To do this, go to Manage>Modules and click on the ‘Add New’ button.

After clicking on ‘Add new’ you will be asked to enter the name of the module along with the URL required for integration. In this example, we have used ‘Canny’ as our module name and the URL required for integration is the address of your Canny installation.

After entering the details, click on ‘Add Module’. This will create a link between WHMCS and Canny. Once this has been done, you will see the module in the list of available modules in WHMCS.

Once you see your module in the list of modules, you can proceed to activate it by checking the box against it. This allows users to choose from among various modules they want to integrate with their WHMCS account.
