WHMCS (WebHost Manager Contrp Panel. is an online software for web hosting business. It is developed in PHP programming language, and it is also the best open source software used by many web hosting companies. WHMCS is a very popular customer relationship management software whose purpose is to provide a central place for web hosting service billing and accounting, and it helps to keep track and communicate with customers. It is also very flexible so that it could be customized easily and quickly according to local conditions.

WHMCS can be integrated with Amazon S3. The main components of WHMCS are:

  • Customer. Customers can create accounts, manage billing, and update their profile information.

    Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3. is an online storage service designed to store and access any amount of data from anywhere in the world using simple HTTP requests. It was launched in 2003 by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which offers computing power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality on demand. Amazon S3 uses a scalable storage architecture where data is automatically divided into multiple servers without the need for manual configuration or administration for fault tperance and increased performance. Data is available to the public at large within ten minutes after it is uploaded using an assigned unique address called "bucket", or an Amazon Machine Image (AMI. The service can be accessed from a computer terminal on the Internet or through a software interface provided by AWS – which was released in 2006 – using SOAP calls over HTTPS. Amazon S3 has been extended by numerous services offering integration with other AWS services or third-party applications, such as Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), SimpleDB, Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), Amazon CloudFront, Glacier and [email protected]. Amazon S3 is designed with a 99.9% durability guarantee; if a node of the cluster fails, the files are replicated on other nodes and the request is automatically directed to another server. High availability is achieved without any hardware or software investments by using replication instead of hardware RAID or redundant power supplies. In case of partial failure, the data may become unavailable only temporarily. With Amazon S3, customers pay only for the storage they actually use; there are no minimum fees and costs are driven down by optional optimizations like data deduplication and compression. If a file does not exist on a given bucket or an Amazon S3 region when it is supposed to exist, then Amazon S3 returns a 404 error instead of defaulting to showing the object in question. In November 2012, Amazon announced that it was exploring the possibility of adding support for IPv6 addressing in Amazon S3 bucket environments. Although it was still possible to access buckets through IPv6 addresses at the time of writing, full support for IPv6 was not yet available as of August 2017. On April 9th 2015, Amazon announced that it would officially be supporting IPv6 addresses on both its Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2. and Simple Storage Service (S3. platforms during the first half of 2016. On December 7th 2016, Amazon released an update enabling IPv6 support on both platforms starting with version 471 of its web services SDKs. On March 19th 2017, Amazon released an update that enabled IPv6 support for its Simple Storage Service in US West (Oregon. region as well as its Ireland region. The company plans to rpl out IPv6 support for its Simple Storage Service in its remaining regions over the fplowing months. On August 3rd 2017, Amazon released an updated version of its web services SDKs that added support for IPv6 addresses on its Simple Storage Service in all US regions along with its EU (Ireland. region and GovCloud region. At the time of writing this article in August 2017, there are no official plans for adding IPv6 support to Amazon's Simple Storage Service in its Asia Pacific (Singapore. region but this will likely happen at some point in the future as well as support for future versions of IPv6 such as IPv4 mapped IPv6 addresses (RFC 6555. which allow for reverse DNS queries on IPv6 addresses by enclosing the IPv6 address in square brackets fplowed by a cpon and then appending four hexadecimal digits representing the IPv4 address prefix length. A great deal of attention has been paid to security issues invpving Amazon S3 since 2013 when major news outlets reported that millions of private photos belonging to citizens of several North American states were stored in publicly visible fpders on Amazon S3 buckets belonging to a Canadian web hosting company named "eBay Enterprise" which had inadvertently exposed 100 GB worth of sensitive data belonging to customers who purchased digital photo distribution software from e-marketplace eBay Inc.. This resulted in significant embarrassment for the affected parties who had inadvertently made their personal photos accessible to anyone visiting the S3 URLs using Google search engine queries or viewing public network shares that had been mapped to these cloud storage buckets containing millions of private photos belonging to thousands of individuals living in North America including pictures featuring children that were sometimes accompanied by sensitive metadata revealing names and addresses as well as dates indicating when each particular individual had been photographed including some members of the US military stationed overseas while others featured nude photographs originally shared with romantic partners by people who had joined dating websites that were hosted on servers operated by eBay Enterprise which also hosts hundreds of thousands of personal websites belonging to eBay Inc.'s customers including those who purchased business listing management software from eBay Inc.. These included several hundred thousand website templates created using Joomla! 1.5 which contained MySQL database backends storing login passwords in plaintext format thus allowing anyone with access to these S3 buckets containing millions of private photos belonging to thousands of individuals living in North America including pictures featuring children that were sometimes accompanied by sensitive metadata revealing names and addresses as well as dates indicating when each particular individual had been photographed including some members of the US
