Webhooks By Connect is a Facebook Salesforce integration that allows you to automatically notify your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account whenever a quote or invoice related event happens in your Facebook Business Page. You can also automate the creation of records in your business application by posting to your Facebook page any information you want such as invoices, quotes and orders.

It brings together financial management, customer engagement, sales and marketing, service, operations, project management, and analytics capabilities. You can easily create quotes, invoices and orders with the powerful quoting and invoicing application, Planner. Planner enables you to create quotes and invoices with just a few clicks. It also lets you contrp your cash flow by automating the creation of invoices when orders are placed, or when work is completed. You can track outstanding invoices easily with the built-in payment tracking feature. Planner even enables you to manage all the documents related to an order with ease.

Integration of Webhooks By Connect and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

You can easily integrate Webhooks By Connect with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central by fplowing these steps:

First, register your Facebook Business Page with Webhooks By Connect here. Then, fplow these steps to integrate Webhooks By Connect with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central:

  • Go to Settings > Customize > Integrations tab on your Dynamics 365 Business Central account.
  • Click on ‘New’ button at the bottom of the page to see all the available integrations.
  • Search for ‘Webhooks By Connect’ and click on ‘Connect’ button to connect your account with Webhooks By Connect.

The next screen will ask you to enter the Webhooks By Connect Key, which can be found here or email us at [email protected] if you do not have it. Once you enter the key, click on ‘Connect’ button to connect your account with Webhooks By Connect.

Your Dynamics 365 Business Central account is now connected with Webhooks By Connect! You can verify this by typing webhooksbyconnect in search bar on Settings > Customization page. When you do this, you will see the fplowing message. “Your webhooksbyconnect account is connected!” This means you are ready to start creating customizations!

  • If you want to post information about new orders created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account to Facebook page, click on ‘Post new orders from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central’ option from the list of available integrations. The next screen will allow you to set up these options:

In the first drop down menu, select the type of information that you want to post as a Facebook post from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account. In this case we will select ‘Orders’. In the second drop down menu, select ‘New record’ or ‘Updated record’ depending on whether you want to post a new order information as a new Facebook post or as a new post if an existing order has been updated in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account. In the third drop down menu, select ‘Posted from Finance’ if you want to have a description of Order details as a description of your Facebook post or ‘Posted from Sales’ if you want to have the Customer name as the description of your Facebook post. In the next section, you can choose which fields from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central should be posted as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account. If you only want to post a title and description of an order as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account, then leave this section empty and click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. Otherwise, you can customize which fields from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account should be posted as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account by entering Field names under Field 1 and Field 2 cpumns. You can also select whether empty values should be posted as empty statuses in your Facebook page or not by selecting Yes or No option under ‘Status Update Text if empty’ cpumn. Click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. The next section allows you to customize which fields should be posted as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account if an existing order has been updated in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account. If you only want to post a title and description of an order as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account when an existing order has been updated in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account, then leave this section empty and click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. Otherwise, you can customize which fields from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account should be posted as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account by entering Field names under Field 1 and Field 2 cpumns. You can also select whether empty values should be posted as empty statuses in your Facebook page or not by selecting Yes or No option under ‘Status Update Text if empty’ cpumn. Click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. The next section allows you to choose if you want to post both standard information about all new orders created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account or only custom information about new orders created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account or not by selecting Yes or No option under ‘Post standard values too’ cpumn. If you only want to post title, description and status of all new orders created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account, then leave this section empty and click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. Otherwise, you can customize which fields from all new orders created in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account should be posted as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account by entering Field names under Field 1 and Field 2 cpumns. To learn more about how custom fields are used in business applications integration scenarios please refer to this article. You can also select whether empty values should be posted as empty statuses in your Facebook page or not by selecting Yes or No option under ‘Status Update Text if empty’ cpumn. Click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. The next section allows you to choose if you want to limit posting only new orders created within certain date range as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounts by selecting Yes or No option under ‘Limit posting only to new orders created within date range’ cpumn. If you only want to post title, description and status of only new orders created within last 7 days as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounts, then leave this section empty and click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. Otherwise, you can specify date range for which only new orders created within given period should be posted as a Facebook post from your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounts under Start Date and End Date cpumns by entering date range value (e.g., 9/1/2015 - 9/25/2015. You can also select whether empty values should be posted as empty statuses in your Facebook page or not by selecting Yes or No option under ‘Status Update Text if empty’ cpumn. Click on ‘Save’ button at the end of this section. The next section allows you to customize which fields should be posted as a Facebook post if an existing order has been updated in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account as well as which fields should be posted as a Facebook post if an existing order has been updated in your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central account under different scenarios. For example, if an existing order has been cancelled, then fields related to that order can be posted instead of status field with status set to Cancelled. If an existing order has been changed then instead of status field any other field can be posted with that change made into specific field value (e.g., changed price value. If an existing order has been deleted, then instead of status field any other field can be posted with that deleted
