Webhooks By Connect is an API that allows users to subscribe to webhooks, which are events that will be delivered in real time to their applications. It enables users to receive these events on the internet of things (IoT. devices, mobile devices or software applications. This API is provided by OfiiceOfSuperman.com.
OfiiceOfSuperman.com was founded by Saurabh Gadgil and Shantanu Gadgil in 2016. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, India. It is mainly dedicated to consumer-centric services and products. Webhooks By Connect is one of its products.
Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS. is a cloud computing message queuing service that provides developers with reliable, highly scalable hosted queues for transferring messages between different applications. It also provides software developers with the ability to decouple the components of their applications. It efficiently moves data between distributed application components and enables the components to communicate with each other with a very low latency.
This is a web service offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon.com Inc. it is primarily used for communication between the components of distributed applications, mobile apps, IoT devices, etc.
Webhooks By Connect can be integrated with Amazon SQS through the fplowing steps:
Step 1. Head over to your AWS account dashboard. Sign in if you are not already signed in. If you do not have an AWS account, you can create one here. You can also use the AWS account of another user if you have been given access to it. To sign in, click the “Sign In to Your Account” tab below the navigation pane on the left side of the screen.
Step 2. Click the arrow next to “Services” and select “AWS Management Conspe” from the drop down list.
Step 3. Navigate to the “SQS” Services page under “Messaging” Services section. You will see a box on the right side of the screen labeled “Message Queues”. Click on it and then click on “Create New Queue” button on the right side of the screen under “Message Queues” box. A new page will appear with a textbox labelled “Queue Name” and a button titled “Create Queue” directly under it. Type a name for your queue in the textbox and click on “Create Queue” button. You will see a message which confirms that your queue has been created successfully. Click on “Close” button at the top right corner of the page to return to main page of SQS conspe. Now, you will see your queue listed under “Message Queues” box on the right side of the screen. Click on your queue name – you will see a page similar to this. Now, we will integrate our Webhooks By Connect subscription code with this newly created queue. We will do this by creating a rule that will enable us to push notifications to this queue whenever our Webhooks By Connect subscription code gets triggered by an event from our server or any other source. Let us call this integration as Webhooks By Connect – Amazon SQS integration for convenience sake. Step 4. Click on “Rules” tab on top of the screen and then click on “Add Rule” button under it – you will see a page similar to this. Step 5. Click on “Create a Rule” tab below Message attribute box – you will see a pop up window asking you for a description of what you are trying to do – select ‘I want to set up a message queue rule’ from the drop down box and click on ‘Continue’ button – you will see a page similar to this. Step 6. Click on ‘Add Condition(s)’ tab – you will see a pop up window – select ‘Exactly One’ from the drop down box – you will see a page similar to this. Step 7. Click on ‘Add Action(s)’ tab – you will see a pop up window – select ‘Add an Amazon SQS action’ from drop down box – you will see a pop up window with two options - option 1 being ‘Send Message Using Amazon SQS’ and option 2 being ‘Send Message Using Amazon SQS Extended Parameters’ – select option 2 from above list of options – you will see a page similar to this. Step 8. Select whether you want your message to be pushed into your Amazon SQS queue when an event occurs or whether you want your message to be sent immediately when an event occurs by selecting either ‘On Event Occurrence’ or ‘Immediately After Event Occurrence’ respectively from the drop down box under Event Source section - you will see a pop up window with two options - option 1 being ‘Event Source Type’ and option 2 being ‘Event Source Name’ - select option 1 from above list of options - you will see a page similar to this. Step 9.
