Webflow is an online drag and drop website builder. With Webflow, users can create a website without any coding experience or knowledge of HTML. Users can drag and drop various page content on the web page and style the content according to their own preferences. A standard website used to be static and had a fixed set of features. The development of Webflow allows websites to be dynamic and have a wide variety of features that can be configured as desired by the user as long as there is a framework that supports it. In short, the advent of Webflow allows users to build websites without any technical know-how.
Bitly is a link-shortening service provider. It generates a unique shortened URL for every link and provides analytics for each link. Every time a person clicks on a link with a Bitly generated URL, the original unshortened link is displayed on the Bitly website. A person is able to click on the unshortened link and see where the original link is directed. With the analytics provided by Bitly, a person can track how many times a particular URL has been clicked on and how many times it has been redirected to another URL. This means that if a person wants to analyze the general popularity of a particular URL, he or she can use Bitly to gather information about its traffic and redirections and find out what people think and feel about it.
Webflow recently announced that it will be integrating with Bitly to provide additional data that will allow users to better understand their websites. The integration will take place in two ways. First, as mentioned above, whenever someone clicks on a URL generated by Bitly, the original URL will be displayed instead of the shortened version. Second, when someone shares a URL through Bitly, the analytics data that are generated from that share will be sent to Webflow. Together, these features will help users get more information about their websites.
The benefits of this integration are numerous. For one thing, it will be easier for users to use Webflow for tracking traffic. Traditionally, if a user wanted to track traffic to his or her website, he or she would have to use Google Analytics because there was no other way to do it. Now, since the analytics data generated by Bitly are being added into Webflow, users will be able to use Google Analytics together with Webflow for traffic tracking purposes. This will provide more accurate information about the traffic being generated by their websites. Additionally, it will be easier for users to maintain their websites because they will have fewer tops that they have to use for different purposes. Currently, there are multiple tops required for tracking links, hosting links, tracking traffic, etc., but once Webflow integrates with Bitly, all of these tasks will be conspidated into one top instead of being spread out among different tops. Finally, it will be easier for users to manage multiple websites because they will not have to create new accounts in order to track their own websites; they will simply be able to log into their existing accounts in order to keep track of all of their websites. The main difficulty with managing multiple websites is that it requires multiple passwords which can become confusing over time. By integrating with Bitly, Webflow makes it easier for users to manage multiple websites at once by allowing them to share login credentials across all of their accounts.
