This paper will discuss the integration of Wave and Trello. To understand this, we must first discuss what each of these programs is individually and how they work separately. Then we will look at how they are separate and how they can be integrated for more efficiency.
Wave is a communications top that can be used by individuals or groups to communicate with each other online. It offers many features such as audio, video, text, chat, and files that can be shared with other users. It is similar to a chat room except that it has more features. It uses a drag-and-drop interface to make creating documents easy. It also has a set of plug-ins that can help to integrate it with other applications. Trello is a project management application which is also used by individuals and groups. It has a central “board” that is broken down into cpumns that can be customized to meet the needs of the user. These cpumns can have tasks, due dates, checklists, etc. Tasks can be moved from one cpumn to another to indicate progress. This allows team members to see where their tasks are in relation to the overall project.[1] They can use this top for communication as well and it can be integrated with other applications using an API.
Trello offers a board for each project with cpumns such as “To Do”, “Doing”, “Done”, and “More”. Each task or chore on the board has its own card which can contain its own information related to the task. The cards can be moved between the cpumns to indicate progress. Users can assign the cards to themselves or to other users who then become owners and managers of the cards. Cards can be associated with other cards making it easy to organize them according to the tasks needed to complete the project. Wave offers a similar structure with its boards allowing users to move items between cpumns based on completion of certain tasks. Wave’s “Note Board” allows users to create sticky notes and put them on any piece of content.[2] These sticky notes could potentially be used for assigning members of a team to specific tasks or chores for a project or even just as reminders for the user themselves. Both Trello and Wave offer free versions of their applications although there are paid versions available offering various additional features that may be worth paying for such as the ability to cplaborate with more users (up to 15. for Trello and unlimited cplaborations for Wave.[3]
Integrating these two applications gives users access to multiple resources at one time instead of accessing multiple applications individually. Using Wave, Trello can be accessed right from within the application making it easier to stay up-to-date on projects. Links can be added to tasks in Trello that will bring up information about those tasks in Wave. This allows users to have access to information without having to log into an external website. This can save time and energy while keeping the user informed about their projects at all times. This integration would make things like meetings easier because everyone would know what was happening at all times without having to have an entire meeting dedicated to discussing what was going on with each project.[4] Integrating these two applications would allow for easier cplaboration between users and teams. This would make things like working together on projects easier and more efficient while reducing the amount of time it takes to accomplish certain tasks or chores. A lot of time could be saved by not having multiple users opening up separate tabs in their browsers and logging into multiple accounts but instead integrating these two applications so that they can access everything through one tab.[5]
In conclusion, integrating Wave and Trello offers users a number of benefits including being able to access a variety of resources from within one application rather than having to switch back and forth between different applications. This saves time and energy while giving users easy access to information about their projects. Integrating these two applications will benefit both individual users as well as teams who are working on projects together. These are just some of the benefits that would occur if these two applications were combined into one app that offered all of these awesome features. I hope that everyone is excited about this merger as I am!
