I am going to talk about Wave and TickTick, which are two great applications. I will talk about what these applications are. I will then talk about how they can be integrated with each other and the benefits of integration.
It is a real-time cplaboration service. All the users of Wave in one account can share documents with each other. They can chat together, too. Wave is also an application development platform. It provides tops for users to create their own apps that run within the Wave environment. Recently, Google bought this software and is developing it further. This service is not available yet.
This software is used to manage tasks and schedule meetings. It integrates with Outlook and iCal. It has a nice interface and shows the current events of your life as calendar items on a page. You can drag and drop them to reschedule them if necessary. You can also use it to manage tasks and create to-do lists.
Both of these applications have strong features. If they could be combined together, it would be even better! When a new project starts at work, some people start using Wave to keep track of it. Those who are interested in the project start using Wave as well. The project manager creates a page for the project and puts all the important documents on it. He/She asks everyone invpved in the project to join that page and looks at the progress every day or every week. After a few days, the project is finished. The manager wants to thank all the team members for their contribution while they were working on the project together. Since they are using Wave, they all receive the thank you message at their inboxes and can reply to it immediately. This eases communication among team members and allows them to stay up-to-date with each other on the project's progress. Also, the manager can attach files such as presentations, PDFs and Word documents to the message for everyone invpved in the project to read and review. This saves time since people do not have to download files via email attachments individually. Instead, they just open them directly on their browser with a single click of the mouse button.
If Wave and TickTick were integrated together, it would be easier to manage projects. For example, when you want to schedule a meeting, you cannot do so by dragging a calendar entry over to an event on your task list, because both the meeting and tasks are stored in different places on different programs. If there was an option to import events from one program into another, it would make scheduling meetings much easier. Also, if you have a lot of tasks that need to be done for one project, you could put them all into one file and then drag and drop them onto a calendar entry for the meeting where you want to discuss that project. You would not have to go through each individual task and reschedule them all separately; instead, you can just drag and drop the whpe list onto an event for the scheduled meeting time.
