Integration of Wave and Teachable

Wave is a new email platform that aims to simplify emailing by offering a place where emails are organized, threaded, and categorized. It is Google’s attempt to make email more complicated. Currently, Gmail is the leading email provider with 216 million users. Wave is Google’s way of competing with Facebook, Skype, Twitter, and other social media sites. Teachable is an online education website that allows teachers to create their own course on any topic of their choosing. It is Google’s attempt to compete with iTunes U, Udacity, and other online education services.

Wave and Teachable are two different companies with different products. Both companies have unique integrations that could change the way people use these tops. While Wave is used for communication, Teachable is used for education. Integration of the two could help both companies succeed in their marketplaces.

Integration of Wave and Teachable would allow people to communicate better whether it is with customers or students. Wave allows users to integrate emails into one place, which means that there would be less emails clogging up inboxes. This would be beneficial to teachers who need to correspond with students about homework assignments, projects, and other classroom assignments. With fewer emails clogging up inboxes, teachers can focus on writing responses to students rather than responding to emails. Students can also respond back with fewer delays. Teachers can respond to students faster and thus students will be able to start on their assignment sooner than later. Students can also ask questions without having to check their email every five minutes throughout the day. This will allow students to concentrate on studying for exams or completing projects.

Another benefit of integration is that teachers can share their classes on Teachable through the use of Wave. A teacher can record video lectures and upload them onto Teachable so that students can listen to the lectures at their own convenience. Having lectures on Teachable will reduce the workload of teachers because they do not have to record lectures or prepare handouts for each class. Teachers can spend more time creating lesson plans instead of worrying about producing videos or preparing handouts for each class.

Teaching from Wave could also be beneficial to students because it makes studying easier. For example, a teacher can set up a class group on Wave and encourage students to participate by asking questions related to the course material. The teacher will be able to monitor the class group closely and answer questions as soon as possible. Having a class group could facilitate learning because it helps students interact with one another and discuss the material being taught in the class. Students can also share links to videos or articles related to the course material and encourage everyone else in the class to view them as well.
