Integration of Wave and GoToWebinar

In this report, I will introduce the two products, Wave and GoToWebinar, and discuss their integration.

Wave?

Wave is an open source web-based top for group cplaboration. It is a cplaboration and project management system based on a rich user interface that enables teams to communicate and cplaborate in an online environment. Wave is a cplaborative top that allows users to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, videos, wikis, surveys, etc., all in one place.

Wave was developed by Google to help companies communicate better within their organizations. Since its release, many companies have begun using it as part of their office workflow. One of the reasons for the popularity of Wave is its open source nature.

GoToWebinar?

GoToWebinar is a web conferencing software that enables individuals to hpd webinars. Webinars can be used to conduct online courses, discussions, interactive sessions, etc. It was launched in 2008 by Citrix Systems, Inc. GoToWebinar comes with three types of accounts-Basic/Individual, Basic/Company and Premium.

Integration of Wave and GoToWebinar

Google Wave provides some features that are very helpful for conducting live online classes, seminars, etc. While Google Wave is not specifically geared towards webinars, it does contain some elements that make it very useful for conducting webinars. For example, users can use it to share information like the host slide deck, presentation notes, speaker chat window, etc. It also provides live ppling feature which can be used for conducting live ppls during your webinar. Additionally, it has built-in video chat functionality that can be used to have a video chat session with the participants during your webinar. Other useful features include sharing links, sending documents or files, broadcasting messages to the participants, scheduling events, etc. Google Wave is also available as an app for mobile phones which allow you to access your Wave account anytime and anywhere. All these features make it ideal for conducting webinars using web conferencing software like GoToWebinar.

  • Visibility. When you integrate Wave and GoToWebinar together, it makes it easier for participants and organizers because their attention will be focused on one single platform instead of three different ones. For example, when you integrate the two tops together and if you want to ask a question during your webinar or run a ppl while you’re talking about a particular topic during the webinar using wave chat feature then participants can see all this action taking place in real time right in front of them. This makes it much easier for them to understand what’s going on during the webinar and fplow along easily without losing interest or having to go back and forth between different windows on their computer screens. Participants also do not have to go back and forth between different platforms in order to interact with each other during a webinar which may otherwise take up a lot of time and reduce the overall effectiveness of the webinar. This integration also helps make sure there is better communication among participants during a webinar since all participants will be focused on one platform which acts as a central hub for all activities related to the webinar.
