This article will focus on Wave and Downtime Alert, which is a new feature of the Google Analytics API. We’ll explore how this feature helps marketers better understand and communicate downtime to their customers and why it’s important.

The Google Analytics API is made up of a number of different products, including the Core Reporting API. The Core Reporting API includes a number of features that are useful for building business intelligence applications, such as:

For example, if your website goes down for two hours during the workday on Monday, you can set up a Downtime Alert to be notified every week at 9 AM on Mondays. Then, when it goes down, you can get notified via email or SMS.

In addition, Downtime Alert has a handful of triggers you can use. You can trigger an alert based off of a number of the fplowing:
