Vtiger is an open source CRM platform. Vtiger is completely free and can be downloaded from http://www.vtiger.org/

Vtiger runs on the LAMP platform, so it needs to be set up on Linux, Apache 2.2 or higher, MySQL 5.0 or higher, and PHP 5.3 or higher. Vtiger is an application that uses the Symfony framework. It allows users to manage contacts, leads, accounts, opportunities, projects, quotes, tasks, activities, documents, and time entries. Users can create new opportunities directly from the CloudTalk interface for customers, contacts, vendors, and partners. A user can request a quote from a customer or a vendor directly from their contact details page in CloudTalk. Users can also create new activities from their contact details page to attach to an existing opportunity they have created in Vtiger. Other actions that can be performed from the contact details page include creating a new opportunity directly from the message section of the contact’s details page. In addition, users can create new tasks from their contact details page by clicking on New Task from the update button section on the right side of the screen. This allows users to quickly update a contact’s details without having to leave the CloudTalk interface. The integration of CloudTalk with Vtiger allows users to update a contact’s details without having to go to the individual contact’s details page in Vtiger and do it manually. This integration also allows users of CloudTalk to access any part of Vtiger through the CloudTalk interface without leaving it and communicating with an administrator of vtiger to open up restricted areas on Vtiger.

These alerts allow them to keep track of changes within vtiger without having to go through each individual change one at a time by clicking on each notification received or by viewing each activity stream entry respectively.
