Vend was founded in 2005 as a result of managing existing POS systems (Point of Sale. in restaurants. Vend offers several different versions of their software including. Starter, Pro, Enterprise and the Cloud.

The Starter version of the software is made specifically for food trucks or small restaurants with limited budgets. The Pro version of the software is geared toward medium-sized businesses with budgets between $25,000-$200,000 per year. The Enterprise version of the software is geared toward large businesses with budgets ranging from $200,000-$6,000,000 per year. The enterprise version requires a server-based setup in order to be used. The Cloud version of the software is cloud-based which allows users to access the system from any internet connection.

ClickMeeting is a web conferencing application that allows users to host meetings from any computer with Internet connection. ClickMeeting's main feature is its ease-of-use; it does not require third party plugins or downloads in order to be installed on most operating systems. ClickMeeting also features screen sharing and HD video chat/conferencing among other features.

Project Scope Statement

In this project I will integrate Vend with ClickMeeting in order to create a new hosted service offering to Vend's customers. Vend will provide ClickMeeting's service to their current customers as an additional feature to their current offerings at no additional cost to the customers. This way Vend's customers may use both products without needing to pay for two separate applications.

Project Objectives:

Develop a new service offering for Vend's current customer base Integrate ClickMeeting with Vend's order processing system Modify ClickMeeting's interface so it is compatible with Vend's product information Capture customer information and payment options during the ordering process Provide ClickMeeting's service to all current Vend customers at no additional cost to their existing subscriptions Provide reports to Vend on usage statistics and revenue generated by the service Set up a web portal where Customers may view their available bookings and make changes to them if necessary Allow Vend employees to modify bookings they have set up as needed through the web portal Offer a free trial period to Vend's customers so they can test out the service before committing to it Establish a plan for scaling the service if usage exceeds expectations

Therefore ClickMeeting has decided that integrating with another product would be beneficial in attracting new users who may have difficulty using their current service or are looking for more functionality than what they currently have available.
