Integration of uProc and Xero

Let’s start with an introduction. uProc? This is a question that many people ask, even those who are familiar with the name of our company. uProc is a document management software that integrates into accounting software. In order to understand this, it is necessary to get acquainted with what uProc is and how it works. uProc is a document management software that can contrp all types of documents – from invoices to purchase orders. Employees have access to uProc and use it to create and fill out various documents. Accounts Payable employees use uProc for creating purchase orders and invoices, while Accounting department uses uProc for producing tax reports and financial statements.

The integration between uProc and Xero allows you to use only one software which will do everything you need in your business. For example, you can create purchase orders in uProc, then change them into invoices in Xero, and finally send a message to the supplier. It’s very convenient. In this part, I will describe how Integration of uProc and Xero works. First of all, it is important to note that integration doesn’t require much time or effort from the users. Everything needed for integration is created automatically by the wizard. There are two main steps in this process:

  • Create Xero integration accounts within uProc:

First step is creating user accounts in Xero via the wizard. These accounts will be used for integration with Xero later on. You need to specify Xero credentials here (user ID and password. After the accounts have been created, you can select users who will have access to these accounts.

  • Create uProc accounts within Xero:

Second step is creating accounts in Xero via the wizard. These accounts will be used for integration with uProc later on. Xero credentials must also be specified here (user ID and password.

After setting up users and their corresponding accounts, it is necessary to make sure that they are linked together. After that, you can simply integrate the systems and start using them together! Let’s see how this works in practice:

Step 1 – Linking the systems together:

Login to uProc as a user whose account has been created in Xero and go to “Integration menu” -> “Xero link” -> “Link Accounts”. Here you need to find the Xero account that was created before in the wizard (Xero Credentials must be specified here. and select it. Click “Link Accounts” button and finish this step.

Step 2 – Enable the integration:

Login to Xero as a user whose account has been created in uProc (you can do it through the same wizard. and go to “Integration menu” -> “uProc link” -> “Enable Integration”. The wizard will display instructions how to enable integration – fplow them carefully! When done, you will be able to work with both systems simultaneously!
