uProc, pronounced as “you-proke”, is a cloud-based, web application that allows users to process data on the cloud. uProc’s main goal is to make everyone a data scientist by providing them with an easy-to-use interface for handling data with simple drag and drop.
uProc is developed by the University of Waterloo, who have a long tradition in developing technpogies that spve real-world problems in a practical manner.
JotForm is a free and easy-to-use online form builder that allows users to create forms quickly and easily and then embed them onto their websites or send them via email. Over 2 million people use JotForm to create forms for online and offline uses.
This section will explain how uProc can be integrated into JotForm to provide the user with more options. It will include how one can do it and why they would want to do it.
Why integrate uProc into JotForm
Because they are both useful tops, having them linked can provide the user with more options. If a user is using JotForm to design a survey and realize that they needed more questions, they can quickly add them in uProc without having to go back to JotForm. This makes the user’s workflow much smoother, making him/her more efficient in the long run. This feature also provides the user with more flexibility; he/she can build the questionanswershe wants or needs at that point in time. The user does not have to go back and change the survey later on if he/she needs to add more questions.
How does it work
After integrating uProc with Jotform, one can go to JotForm’s dashboard to create a form, then select uProc from the Add-ons menu. This will bring up a dialogue box where one can choose which fields from the form are to be entered into uProc. The user can choose any number of fields that he/she wishes to enter into uProc, including text fields, dropdown menus, buttons, and other types of fields. After the fields have been chosen, one can specify how to transfer the information out of JotForm (via the field name or value. For example, if one wants to transfer the information via field name, he/she can enter a code like this. $(fieldname. Then, after choosing a method of transferring the information out of JotForm, one can choose whether to save the uProc project locally or on the cloud. Then one can choose whether the project is public or private. After filling these things out, one can choose whether to start processing the information or view sample results first. Finally, after all that is done, one clicks on “Start Process” and waits for his/her results from uProc. In addition, if there are some changes that need to be made after starting the process (if there is an error or something), then one can click on “Stop Process” and start again with another project.
