Integrate Twitter with Quick Base

Twitter and Quick Base are both web applications and they allow information to be shared and updated in real time. Twitter is a microblogging platform and Quick Base is a web based database top for creating, managing and sharing data. Both of these applications are tops that can be used to share information with others. Though the two applications are different in how they function, Twitter and Quick Base can be integrated to get the benefit of both.

Integration of Twitter and Quick Base

Integrating Twitter and Quick Base requires some extra steps since the two applications do not integrate directly with each other. Though integrating the two applications requires extra work, it is possible and can provide great benefit by sharing information between the two applications.

There are several steps needed to integrate Twitter and Quick Base. First, you must create an account on twitter. The second step is to create an application on Twitter. After creating an application on Twitter, you will need to retrieve your API key which you will use to allow the integration of the two applications. Once you have your API key, you will need to open up the application you created(Twambase or TwitBin. and enter the key. Once the key is entered the application will take over and connect to Quick Base. The last step is to update your Twitter status with information from Quick Base. If you update your status with information that is already in Quick Base, then your status will update with that information without any further work. If you want to update your Twitter status with information not already in Quick Base, then you will need to refresh the page in your browser for it to take effect within Quick Base. The fplowing example uses Twambase to integrate Twitter and Quick Base.
