Twitch is a live streaming platform where people can broadcast themselves playing video games. The website was created by Justin Kan and Emmett Shear in June 2011.
Twitch has a total of 100 million viewers per month as of 2018. It was valued at $1 billion in 2014 and acquired by Amazon for $970 million in 2016. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California, U.S.
CheckMarket is an online service that provides concrete data about the market for game streamers on Twitch. It consists of two features, namely the CheckMarket Streamer Database and the CheckMarket Chat Analytics.
The CheckMarket Streamer Database allows streamers to create profiles and add their stats. The statistics include number of fplowers, number of hours streamed, average concurrent viewers, top games played, and top streamers watched. The CheckMarket Chat Analytics allows streamers to analyze chat logs from their Twitch channel and see the most frequently used words, emotes, and phrases. It also has a ‘report’ feature that allows streamers to get alerts about potentially toxic comments in chat.
CheckMarket has recently announced its integration with Twitch through which streamers can track their progress and market value through the CheckMarket Streamer Database. This new feature can be accessed from the Channel Settings page on Twitch. It allows streamers to view their own stats on the CheckMarket Streamer Database page.
In order to view their own stats on the CheckMarket Streamer Database page, streamers will need to link their Twitch account with their CheckMarket account. To do so, they need to log into their Twitch account, click the gear icon at the top right corner, and then click on Channel Settings. Clicking on Connections will take them to another page where they can connect their accounts using their email address and password. Once logged in and connected, they can go back to the Channel Settings page and click on My Profile > Link your profile with your partner sites (CheckMarket. > Linked Sites > Connect with CheckMarket. After completing the steps, they will be able to see their own stats on their Channel Details page.
