And WHMCS is an open source billing system that helps web hosts manage their customers and accounts. In this article, we will see how we can use them together and derive benefits from it.
Integration of Trello and WHMCS is very easy. There are three ways to integrate them. using Appy Pie Connect, by creating a custom integration, or by using a third party service. Let’s see how they work.
Using Appy Pie Connect:
Using Appy Pie Connect is the easiest way for integrating these two apps. It is a top that lets you connect different web apps via ‘Connects’ (actions. Once the connection is established, you can start creating Connects. To create a Connect for connecting Trello and WHMCS, you need to enable the Trello App in Appy Pie Connect. After enabling the app, you can create a new Connect by selecting the ‘Webhook + Trello’ action. As part of the setup, you will need to provide a unique ‘Token’ for your Trello board and the name of your Trello board. The token is available in the settings section of your Trello board. After providing these details, you can trigger this Connect based on triggers such as adding a card to your Trello board, adding a new card to your Trello board, updating a card in your Trello board, deleting a card from your Trello board, deleting a card in your Trello board, pinning a card to your Trello board, unpinning a card from your Trello board, moving a card from one list to another, changing the due date of a card, changing the status of a card, changing the label of a card, updating the description of a card, updating the attachments of a card, and updating the labels on a card.

Another method for integrating these two apps is creating a custom integration. To do so, fplow these steps:

Step 6. Now go back to the previous screen and click on ‘Continue with Connects’ button. Select your desired trigger(it can be any. Click on ‘Continue’ button.
Step 7. Next specify the trigger for this Connect. In this case select ‘WHMCS Account > Setting > Created new product/hosting package/service plan/domain/addon or changed existing product/hosting package/service plan/domain/addon’ trigger and then click on ‘Continue’ button.
Step 8. Specify the action for this Connect by selecting ‘Trello Card > Create Card’ action and then clicking on ‘Continue’ button. This tells which action should be performed when something happens with WHMCS. In this case whenever someone creates or updates some product in WHMCS, we will create or update a card in our Trello board. In the next screen, make sure you add this Connect to appropriate lists(you can create new lists too here), choose appropriate boards(you can create new boards also), and then click on ‘Save Integration’ button.
