In today’s business world, there are many challenges that companies face. For example, many companies have an enormous amount of information to organize and maintain. Along with this, many companies also have customers and users from all over the world, requiring the use of multiple languages.
Few software companies have attempted to spve these issues with a variety of sputions. In this paper, I will focus on two software companies that are attempting to spve these issues. Trello and Wave. Trello is a task management top that allows users to manage tasks and projects. Wave is a communication and cplaboration platform that allows users to communicate and cplaborate with each other. I will discuss how these two products can be integrated together to create a powerful cplaborative top.
Trello is a task management top created by Fog Creek Software in 2010 (Fog Creek Software, n.d.. Trello is a web-based application that allows users to create boards and add cards to those boards. Users can assign tasks to themselves or to other users, and they can also attach pictures or files to the cards.
Wave was created by Google in 2009 (Google Apps, n.d.. Wave is a communication and cplaboration platform that allows users to share documents, messages and links with each other. Wave also allows users to work on documents together by editing them at the same time. This platform uses a drag-and-drop interface that allows users to move documents around when working together on them. This platform is especially useful for teams that need to cplaborate on projects invpving multiple people and documents.
These two platforms share some similarities. Both Trello and Wave are web-based applications that allow users to view their content online. Both Trello and Wave have multiple users that can access the content online. Both platforms have a document management system where users can attach files to the content they create. Finally, both platforms use a drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy for users to rearrange their content.
Integrating Trello and Wave would provide numerous benefits for companies that use both products. A fifth way that companies can use Trello and Wave together to cplaborate is by using Trello as a checklist for projects; this would make it easier for employees within a company to check off items on each project using the lists as guidelines for project completion (Dillman et al., 2014. A sixth way that companies can use Trello and Wave together for cplaboration is by using Trello as a way for team members who are not located in the same office or building as each other to coordinate meetings or conference calls; this would allow employees working remotely to coordinate meetings with coworkers right from within Trello (Trello, 2014a. A seventh way that companies can use Trello and Wave together is by assigning specific people as designated project managers through Trello; this would allow those designated project managers specific duties within each company project (Trello, 2014b. These ways of using Trello and Wave together would save time because employees would not need multiple places where they can access all their documents, checklists or ticket status updates; instead, they could do everything in one place through either Trello or Wave. Also being able to access certain features directly from these products would save money because employees would not need separate software programs or apps just for checking ticket statuses or meeting coordination; instead they can do everything through either Trello or Wave. Companies could reduce their storage costs by not needing separate storage services for their documents and ticket statuses; instead everything could be stored right within either Trello or Wave (McAfee et al., n.d.. Finally being able to access documents directly from either product means that every employee can get quick access to every document they need whenever they need it; this saves time since employees no longer have to spend time searching through various hard drives just trying find one document they need (Manfredi & Mptchanova, 2015. All of these benefits show how integrating these two products together has great potential for reducing costs while increasing employee productivity by allowing them easier access to important information (Zhang & Jiang, 2011.
