Integration of Tookan and Microsoft Teams

  • Tookan?
  • Tookan is a messaging top that works on Microsoft Teams. It is a free service that provided by Microsoft. It allows users to create their own chat rooms with the help of the application.

  • Microsoft Teams?
  • Microsoft Teams is a modern cplaboration platform for teams. It is an alternative to Slack. Teams consists of several notable features such as video calls, file sharing, etc.

  • Integration of Tookan and Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Teams supports integration with other tops so that it can be easily connected to other services. There are two ways available for integration:

API. The Teams API allows third-party applications to integrate with Teams and add value to users. The User Management REST API helps the user to manage their data within the Microsoft Teams. Webhooks. Webhooks allow developers to connect Websites or services to User’s profile in the Team. When the user performs an action on the Website or service, the webhook will update the profile accordingly.

Both these methods can be used for integration of Tookan and Microsoft Teams. We will discuss each method in detail below:

    • Integration via the Teams API. Tookan is a popular application and many users work on it every day. So, integration via the API allows all the users to get access to Tookan through Microsoft Teams. This integration can be achieved in two steps:

Step 1. Creating a Tookan account. Create a new account in Tookan and provide an email address and password. Then, click “Create account” button. This account will be used to add Tookan to your Team Channel.

Step 2. Adding Tookan to a team channel. In order to add Tookan to a team channel, you have to copy the Teams URL from the sidebar and paste it into a message in a team conversation or a chat room in Tookan. After this, click on the “Share link” button from the dropdown menu and then click on “Copy link” button. Then, click on “Add Tookan to your Team Channel” from the dropdown menu and then click on “Paste share URL” button. After this, you will be redirected to a page where you can choose your team channel from a list of your channels. Finally, click on “Sign in to Team” button and sign in using your Microsoft account.

    • Integration via Webhooks. The only difference between this method and the first method is that when you add Tookan from your team channel, you have to add “/webhook” at the end of the URL. For example, suppose you add Tookan from your team channel then add “/webhook” at the end of the URL in the share window. Similarly, if you want to remove Tookan from your team channel then remove “/webhook” at the end of the URL in the share window. This method of adding Tookan to your team channel is easier than method 1 because instead of adding manually, you just need to copy the link and past it into Teams (instead of copying link and adding manually. While adding Tookan through this method, it is important to make sure that by adding “/webhook” at the end of URL, you are not adding any extra characters otherwise it will break the process of adding Tookan through this method.

Tookan is a popular application which has captured many users around the world. Due to its popularity among users, some brands want to integrate it with their business website or services so that they can help their customers or businesses more efficiently. Due to its integration with Microsoft Teams, it will be easier for users to connect with businesses across different channels.
