Integration of Tookan and Jira Software Server

Tookan?

Tookan is an extension of IBM Rational ClearQuest. It is a Java-based product that works as a plug-in to the Eclipse IDE. This product is developed by Parashuram and Associates.

Jira Software Server?

Jira Software Server is an application that provides issue tracking and project management features. It is developed and owned by Atlassian.

Integration of Tookan and Jira Software Server

Tookan is used to integrate with Jira Software Server to manage issues and project tasks via its ticketing system. Users can work on tickets, create issues and assign the tasks to the team members. They can also view all the issues they have been assigned or can view the issues their team members have been working on through the browser. When someone else views an issue, it displays the most recent update on that issue at the top of the page. For instance, if a user updates an issue and then someone else views that same issue, then that user would see that update at the top of the page.

For example, Tookan can be integrated with Jira Software Server to help users review and prioritize their open projects. The users can view all the projects they have been assigned as well as projects their team members have been assigned to. In addition to viewing all the open projects, users can also view problems that require new features or enhancements. This helps users prioritize their work and identify which issues need to be respved first. This integration also allows users to request a change in a new version of a project, which can be approved by a different team member. The changes will be deployed on the server once it has been approved.
