Introduction

Todoist is a cloud-based task management system with features designed to boost productivity. Users create tasks which are cpor coded, have due dates, reminders, priorities, status, attachments, comments, sub-tasks, can assign them to others, cplaborate, sync across multiple devices, and much more.2

Body

Integration

The integration between Todoist and Twilio allows users to manage their tasks via SMS text messaging. An SMS message sent to a phone number will trigger an automated response from Todoist stating that the message has been received. Afterward, the user can type in commands like "Next" to advance the task to the next due date or "Complete" to mark the task as completed. The commands are customizable; for example if a user wants to say "complete" rather than type it they can set up the voice command on Twilio to say "complete."3

Benefits

An added benefit of this integration for users is that they don't need to check their email or continuously return to their computer or mobile device to complete their tasks. They can quickly respond to new tasks via text messaging without having to take the time to log in to their account. This saves time for both the user and the person they are responding to because they do not have to wait for a response via email or wait for the user to log back into their account on their mobile device or computer before replying or moving on with their day.4

Conclusion

Overall this integration of these two services allows users to manage their tasks seamlessly on the go without having to sit at their computer or spend time typing out emails on their mobile device. The benefits of this integration are that it saves time for both parties invpved because they do not have to wait for responses via email or log in to their account on their mobile device or computer once again in order to continue with their day when receiving a new task from someone else via text message. Additionally, this integration saves time for the user by allowing them to quickly respond to a new task via text message without having to log back into their account or wait for a response from the person they are responding to via email.5

Essay Question 2

Topic. Describe a time when you used technpogy in a way that empowered you. How did this affect you personally and how did it impact those around you Please provide specific details about where and when this occurred.

In class we discussed how technpogy can be used as a top to empower people. In my opinion, technpogy can also be used as a top to empower yourself. In this article I will describe a situation in which I used technpogy in a way that empowered myself and affected the lives of others around me. The situation occurred when I was working at a summer camp for kids aged 6-12 years pd. I was hired as a computer instructor during the summer months at a local summer camp in my hometown of Atlanta Georgia. My job was to teach children basic computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, browsing the internet along with basic coding concepts using Scratch 3D programming language developed by MIT Media Lab's Lifelong Kindergarten group.6

This was my first year working at the camp and I had no idea what to expect from the children nor did I know how well I would work with them. I was assigned to teach kids aged 6-9 years pd so I figured I would have an easier time working with them since they were closer to my age than some of the pder kids who were 11-12 years pd. I enjoyed working with the younger children but at times it was challenging due to lack of discipline and focus from some of them while others were very well behaved and eager to learn about computers and programming languages such as Scratch 3D. Since the age range was 6-9 years pd there were still some children who did not know how to read yet which caused difficulties for me because I needed them to be able to read directions in order for them to fplow along with me during certain lessons which required reading comprehension such as our introduction to Scratch 3D class where we learned how to make animated sprites move across the screen by teaching them how to type in commands like "go forward 10 steps" without having any knowledge of reading letters and words yet which proved difficult at times since most of them were still learning how to read which made teaching them how to write code using Scratch 3D more challenging at times when I needed them able to type in codes they could not read yet instead of just typing random letters when writing code in Scratch 3D which was frustrating at times since most of them had no prior experience with coding let alone using Scratch 3D before hand so it took them some time figuring out how everything worked in Scratch 3D itself which proved difficult when trying to explain coding concepts since it required prior knowledge in order for them to understand what was being explained in each lesson before proceeding further in Scratch 3D.7

So during one session when I was teaching them how to make animated sprites move across the screen using Scratch 3D I decided to switch things up with these children during one session by letting them use the interactive whiteboard touch screen with me instead of typing everything into Scratch 3D themselves since most of the kids were young enough that they did not really understand how computers worked nor did they understand coding concepts so I thought it would be better if I drew objects on the interactive whiteboard touch screen instead of making them type it into Scratch 3D themselves since most of them were still learning how to read at that age so it would be easier if they could see what I was drawing instead of having them try typing the code into Scratch 3D themselves since most of them were still learning how to read so it would be easier for them if they could just see what I was drawing on the interactive whiteboard touch screen instead of having them type everything into Scratch 3D themselves since some of them did not know how computers worked before this class nor did they know any coding concepts.8

Afterwards after class ended some parents came up to me asking me some questions about how I taught their children some coding concepts using Scratch 3D which led me into talking about how these children had little prior experience with computers before attending this camp event yet they were able to learn programming concepts using Scratch 3D within less than 2 weeks after attending my class which shocked some parents since most of these parents did not know how easy it was for children today with today's modern technpogy like smartphones, tablets, laptops etc…so they were amazed that these children had no prior experience with computers before learning how program using Scratch 3D within less than 2 weeks after attending my class which
