Time Doctor is a time tracking software that helps to accurately measure how long each task takes. The program works with ActiveCampaign to track times and send reports to ActiveCampaign. Time Doctor can be used for all your projects.
ActiveCampaign (formerly known as Drip. is an email marketing platform. It helps you create, automate, and deliver targeted email marketing campaigns. It also has a great CRM function which tracks user data.
You can connect the two programs via Zapier. This article will give you step-by-step instructions on how to integrate the two programs. Here are the steps:
Step 1. Create an account with Time Doctor and ActiveCampaign. Step 2. After you have setup both programs, go to Zapier and create a new Zap. Step 3. Once you are in Zapier, click “This” on the left hand side. Step 4. Select Time Doctor from the drop down menu. Step 5. Select “Timesheet Entry” as your trigger. Step 6. Choose the contact(s. you want to track timesheets for. Step 7. Next, select “ActiveCampaign” as your action. Step 8. Click on the “ + ” sign next to “Message subject” Step 9. Add a message subject for your email. For example, if the project is called “Project X” then you can add “[Project X] Timesheets” to it’s subject line. Step 10. Click on the “ + ” sign next to “Body” Step 11. Add a body for your email. You can use this format to do so:
Task name – Description (optional. – Duration (in hours)
For example, if we were tracking time for a project named “Project X” we would add something like this to our subject line:
“[Project X] – Submitting graphics for approval – 2 hours”
and then something like this into our body:
“Submitting graphics for approval – 2 hours
Our team has been working on Project X. We have finally finished submitting graphics for your approval. You should receive them soon. Please let us know if there are any issues with them. We are looking forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!”
Repeat Step 10 and 11 for each type of work you want to track times for. For example, if you wanted to track times for payment requests, then you would repeat steps 10 and 11 and just change the text within each line of text so that it matches payment request format, rather than project format. Step 12. Save your Zap! Step 13. After saving your Zap, go to Time Doctor and open it up. Step 14. Click on Settings > Integrations > Add New Integration Step 15. Select Zapier Step 16. Enter API Key and Secret Key into the boxes provided Step 17. Next, click on the drop down list next to Service Name and select ActiveCampaign Step 18. Click Save Changes Step 19. Next, click on ActiveCampaign Integration Settings Step 20. Enter Account Sender Email and Password into the boxes provided Step 21. Click Save Changes Step 22. Go back to Time Doctor > Settings > Integrations > ActiveCampaign Integration Settings Step 23. Enter Notification Recipient Email Address into the box provided Step 24. Click Save Changes
