Integration of Thinkific and WordPress

This is a short article about Thinkific and WordPress. Thinkific is an education platform and WordPress is the most popular CMS in the world. About 4 years ago, I used to use Thinkific as my primary online learning platform and WordPress as my primary website platform.

Thinkific was my favorite online learning platform for many reasons. The main reason was that it was very easy to use. It also included all the features that I needed. When I was using Thinkific, I started out with only a few students. I had a couple of students from overseas and a few from nearby countries. It didn’t take long before I started adding more courses and students.

However, as my business grew, I realized that there were some limitations with Thinkific, especially as a website platform. For example, it would be difficult for me to introduce new features on my website because these features would require a lot of changes at the back end where I couldn’t do anything. Another limitation was that I could not easily integrate Thinkific with other platforms such as PayPal or Zendesk. I ended up using PayPal as a replacement for Thinkific payments because PayPal allowed me to receive money from my students and deposit them into my bank account.

So, at some point, I decided to move away from Thinkific and start using WordPress as my primary website platform. This was a big change for me at the time because I had been using Thinkific for about 3 years already. In the beginning, it was hard to adjust to WordPress but then I got used to it fairly quickly. The main reason that I moved from Thinkific to WordPress was that I wanted more contrp over my website and have more flexibility in how it can be used.

After using WordPress as my primary website platform for about 2 years, I noticed that there were some limitations with WordPress too. Some of these limitations were similar to those that I had experienced with Thinkific due to its open source nature. For example, it would be hard for me to customize my website because any changes would require a lot of work on the back end which meant that I would need to call on my developer to make changes. I also realized that it wouldn’t be easy for me to integrate with other platforms such as Zendesk, Kajabi, Campaign Monitor or Leadpages because doing so would require too much work on my part.

That’s when I decided to switch from WordPress to Thinkific again! With Thinkific, I was able to easily access my students’ private content by creating their own login details which they could use to log into my course pages. I could also easily integrate with other platforms such as Kajabi or Leadpages which meant that I didn’t have to rely on PayPal anymore for accepting payments.

I also wanted more contrp over my website so that I could customize it however I wanted without having to hire a developer first. Now I’m back on Thinkific with all the same courses that are still being delivered on WordPress which has given me the freedom to start new courses on both platforms whenever I wanted without having to worry about copying content between platforms or creating multiple versions of the same content.

The process to integrate Thinkific and WordPress may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
