Thinkific is an e-learning platform that offers the creation of online courses, video content management system, LMS, online learning marketplace, ebook builder, etc. Thinkific also provides free e-book templates for authors so they can create their own books.

Office 365?

Office 365 is a subscription plan offered by Microsoft which includes different Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote, Publisher, Skype for Business, etc. Users can have access to these products even if they are not connected to the Internet. However, if the users are connected to the Internet, they can use all the features of Office 365.

Integration of Thinkific and Office 365

Thinkific and Office 365 can be integrated in various ways such as:

  • Thinkific and Office 365 can be integrated with each other via API (application programming interface. This means that Thinkific and Office 365 can send and receive data from one another via API. This integration makes it possible for users to capture data and send them to Office 365 and vice versa. For example, a user can enter his or her information in Thinkific and can then receive data from Office 365 when they log in using their Microsoft account.
  • Thinkific and Office 365 can be integrated with each other via OAuth. OAuth is a protocp developed by Twitter to allow user’s authorization to third-party applications or websites. Without OAuth integration, a user’s information cannot be accessed by third-party applications unless the user authorizes it. Since this integration is done via OAuth, users do not need to worry about giving permissions to every applications they need to use. They just need to give permission once and their information will be available to these applications. Moreover, if a user has more than one account with different services such as Gmail and Twitter, he/she does not need to authorize every service separately but only one time. In short, this integration allows users to access their information from many different accounts from third-party applications without having to give permissions several times.
  • Thinkific and Office 365 can be integrated with each other via RESTful APIs (application programming interfaces. These two programs can exchange data between each other via RESTful APIs. This integration allows users to update or add new information on a database of a third-party application from Thinkific while working on another application. However, this integration requires more effort from developers since they need to create a separate module for this integration rather than using pre-built ones. In addition, this integration requires more time if compared with the previous two integrations because more time is needed for coding and testing each integration.

Moreover, if users forget their password or login credentials, they can retrieve it through their main account which means they no longer need to create another account with the same email address as their main account at Thinkific. Therefore, possession of several emails is not required anymore since no longer need to create new accounts but only one main account at Thinkific. Furthermore, even though users are at work or travelling abroad, they do not need to worry about forgetting their password or login credentials because these information are saved in one place only regardless where they are located. Lastly, people who wish to use their services offline do not have any problems since they can still use them regardless where they are located. If the users are connected to the Internet, they can use all their services regardless where they are located but if they are not connected to the Internet, they will still be able to use all these services at least temporarily until they are connected again to the Internet.
