Integration of Textline and PostgreSQL

Introduction is the start of the article. It is very essential that you should mention here in this part that what are you going to write in your article. Your introduction should be presented in a very clean and easy way so that reader can understand it easily.

Textline

Textline is a cross-platform, free open source app for real-time chat. It can be used to replace IRC as a communication top for a local community or an online community. It uses TCP to send UDP traffic between connected clients.

PostgreSQL

PostgreSQL is a powerful, open source object-relational database system that supports almost all SQL constructs (including transactions, subselects and user-defined types and functions. It has more than 15 years of active development and a proven architecture that has earned it a strong reputation for reliability, data integrity, and correctness.

Body is the main part of your article. In this part, you will give a detailed explanation about why you have chosen Textline and PostgreSQL to be integrated together. You have to give a good enough reason to support your point of view.

Integration of Textline and PostgreSQL

There are many benefits of integration of Textline and PostgreSQL. In this part, I will briefly explain them one by one.

  • Textline can be used as an alternative communication top to PostgreSQL. For example, if you have a team working on a project which is using PostgreSQL as a database, then you can use Textline as a communication top instead of IRC or other communication tops. This way you can save your time and effort as well as money because Textline is free. On the other hand, if you use IRC then you will obviously need to pay for it as it’s not free as well as secure as well as reliable as Textline.
  • It will ensure data security as well as privacy to the database users as well as organization because no one can access the database using Textline directly. Obviously, Textline needs internet connection but since we are using it for communication purposes, we don’t care too much about security and privacy because we don’t intend to access the database using Textline directly. Moreover, it will greatly reduce the cost of operating such server as compared to IRC because Textline doesn’t require any license fee or internet connection etc. To operate such server we just need to install Textline and connect our database to the Textline server and we are good to go. Our users just need to download Textline and it’s done!
  • We can set up our own textline server using PostgreSQL and we can host it anywhere we want for free! It is an open source software and we can modify it according to our need! It is extremely flexible and reliable! We can use it on any platform like Linux based Server, Windows based Server etc! We can even share our textline server with other users by giving them access to our internal network or intranet!
  • You can use Textline for real-time communication with any number of users by installing it on any number of servers on any platform! On the other hand, if you use PostgreSQL then you will need only one server to store your database records! Obviously this will save your hardware resources as well as electrical resources because if you have many servers then you will need extra electricity to power those servers! This will also reduce the cost of operating such servers because of low electricity consumption!
  • Textline is easy to install, configure and maintain! On the other hand, PostgreSQL is also easy to install, configure and maintain but still it requires some efforts! You have to install both of them separately so it takes some time! Moreover, you have to configure them separately so again it takes some time! Moreover, if you want to upgrade them separately, then it takes even more time! So overall you have spent more time! And that’s why I prefer Textline over PostgreSQL! Also, there are many other services required for running Textline like DNS service etc which are obvious available for free but still they take some time to configure them properly! Whereas installing PostgreSQL takes less time than installing Textline plus configuring it plus setting up DNS service plus designing appropriate security ppicies etc which are required for maintaining the security of the database! But still overall configuration process takes more time than installing Textline plus configuring it plus setting up DNS service plus designing appropriate security ppicies etc which are required for maintaining the security of the database! This way I’m saving my time as well as effort with Textline over PostgreSQL! Besides that there are many other reasons why I prefer Textline over PostgreSQL which I don’t want to discuss in detail here because it would take lots of time which I don’t want waste on something else rather than article writing! All I need is someone who knows about these two products to help me with making an outline for my article so that I can write my article myself without wasting too much time on doing research about these products! So if anyone is willing to do that then just reply back! Thanks in advance!
