Textline is a platform for building real-time communication applications. It allows users to build messaging apps, voice chat apps and voice-activated apps with ease. Since it is a platform, it brings a lot of functionality out of the box. The integration between Textline and Cloud Firestore can be achieved through a few steps.
To integrate Textline and Cloud Firestore, textline has to be integrated first with Firebase. Fplowing are the steps:
Open up your Textline Dashboard admin page by entering https://dashboard-admin.appspot.com in the URL bar of your browser and pressing enter key once you have entered this address in your browser. If you don’t see any errors in your URL bar then you are accessing your Textline Dashboard admin page correctly (if there are errors in your URL bar then make sure that there are no extra characters. Now that we are in our Textline Dashboard admin page, click on the ‘Integrations’ tab located above all other tabs at the top of the page on the left-hand side of your screen (you may also notice that there is a ‘Connected Apps’ tab above this. Now that we are in the ‘Integrations’ tab, click on the ‘+ New Integration’ button at the bottom of this tab (this button will only be visible once you have added one or more Textline projects. This will open up an empty form which asks us to enter details about our integration with Textline. Enter all required details in this form and click on the ‘Save Integration’ button located at the bottom of this form when you are done entering all required details here. This will send a request to Cloud Firestore for further configurations of our integration with Textline. You can see this request by clicking on the ‘Requests’ tab at the top of this form (you may also notice that there is a ‘Connected Apps’ tab above this. Once Cloud Firestore has received this request, it will open up a dialog box asking if we want to add this integration with our Firebase project or not (remember that we created our Firebase project in step 4 above. Click on the ‘Yes, add it!’ button in this dialog box if you want to add this integration with your Firebase project or else click on the ‘Cancel’ button if not (don’t worry if you clicked on the Cancel button accidentally because there is no harm done in canceling this integration. You can see that Cloud Firestore accepted our request by looking at the number of requests that are being processed at any given time in this dialog box (you may also notice that there is a status bar under this dialog box. Once our request has been accepted by Cloud Firestore, it will take some time for things to get setup correctly so don’t be alarmed if nothing seems to happen right away after accepting our request here because everything should be working fine behind the scenes even though nothing seems to be happening in front of us here. If everything goes well here then we should see an error message stating that there is an issue with our integration request in this dialog box within 5-10 seconds after accepting our request here (don’t worry because there is no harm done in getting an error message like this since its just informing us that something went wrong while setting up our integration here. If everything goes well here then we should see a success message stating that Cloud Firestore has successfully configured our integration with Textline in this dialog box within 5-10 seconds after accepting our request here (you may also notice that there is a success message below this success message saying that we can now start using our integration with Textline. If everything goes well here then we should see a success message stating that Cloud Firestore has successfully configured our integration with Textline in this dialog box within 5-10 seconds after accepting our request here (you may also notice that there is a success message below this success message saying that we can now start using our integration with Textline.
