TextIn is a project that aims to increase student engagement in the classroom through technpogy. It allows students to interact with their teachers and classmates through discussion boards, Twitter, and Google Docs. This program helps teachers connect with their students and allows for students to have more opportunities to express their thoughts about the current lesson or topic.

Cpligso TextIn integrates social media with learning management systems (LMS. Teachers can use Cpligso TextIn to create and publish lessons on Edmodo, then assign those lessons to students as “activities”. Students will then receive an invitation to participate in the activity in the form of a tweet or text message which contains a link to the activity. By using both Twitter and Edmodo, teachers are able to reach out to more students and encourage them to interact in class discussions.

Cpligso TextIn also allows teachers to create assignments for students that require students to submit information to the teacher through Twitter instead of using Edmodo’s question bank. This creates a more interactive environment where students are able to engage with each other and teachers are able to monitor the progress of the assignment.

The integration of social media such as Twitter and Google Docs with the traditional learning management system of Edmodo helps teachers reach out to more students by using social media and encourages students to interact with each other through discussion boards.
