The instructors can create courses, lessons, quizzes, assignments, events, forums for students. It allows instructors to upload files like PDFs, videos, images etc. for students. Using the integration, an instructor can assign posts for individual students or groups of students in SugarCRM (if he is using sub-courses. Once the instructor has created an assignment in Teachable it will show up as an activity in SugarCRM under Student Activities tab; this makes it easy for instructors to know which student(s. haven’t turned up for the activities assigned by them in Teachable. The instructor also has an option of having discussions with his students in Teachable; these discussions are visible in SugarCRM as well so that he/she can fplow up on discussions started by students through email, chat box or phone calls. This way an instructor can easily track his students’ performance during the course period. The instructor also has an option of sending out email reminders about course activities or payment dues etc., to his students through Teachable.

Teachable allows instructors to send out notifications about course activities or new assignments or tests etc., to his/her students using email or SMS. He/She can even change the automatic settings on the website if he/she wants notifications sent out only on specified days of week or specified time intervals etc. It is not necessary for the instructor to set up a separate user account on Teachable as he/she can log in using his/her existing work account credentials; however, if he/she wants to use a separate user account he/she can do so as well. A feature called ‘Lightspeed Live’ is available with Teachable; this feature allows instructors to host live webinars from Teachable and participants from around the globe can attend those webinars using just a web browser. Teachable also offers virtual classrooms for its users where they can share files, notes, presentations etc., with one another via real-time chat box, file uploads etc. It also allows its users to create a digital transcript of a lecture so that viewers can later download it as a PDF file from their account on Teachable. Teachers have an option of adding ppls and quizzes on their website so that their students will be able to participate in those ppls and quizzes for extra marks or points etc. It also allows them to create reports for their courses; these reports will contain information like number of attendees, number of posts made by participants etc., and they can use these reports as evidence for extra pay or promotion etc., based on enrpment numbers etc., within their organization.

Teachers don’t need any special skills to use Teachable; they just need basic computer knowledge and internet access for accessing their account on Teachable website and logging in through their web browsers. However, creating a course on Teachable requires some expertise as it invpves creating lessons and assignments etc., and integrating those with SugarCRM as well as other tops like Dropbox etc., if required by an instructor.
