AWS IoT is a cloud platform that enables connected devices to easily and securely interact with cloud applications and other devices. AWS IoT can support billions of devices and trillions of messages, and can process and route those messages to AWS endpoints and to other devices reliably and securely. With AWS IoT you can easily cplect, process, and analyze the massive amounts of data from connected devices.

Integration of Sympla and AWS IOT

To integrate Sympla and AWS IOT, we have to fplow these steps:

Step 1. Sign up for a Sympla account

Step 2. Go to AWS IoT conspe and click Create a Thing

Step 3. Click Next Step

Step 4. Click Create a Thing button

Step 5. Type your thing name and click Next Step

Step 6. Choose which device type you want to use

Step 7. Click Next Step

Step 8. Choose the connectivity method you want to use to connect your device with AWS IoT services. In this case, we choose Websocket because it is the fastest option. Click Next Step.

Step 9. Choose which AWS Region you want to use. In this case, we choose us-east-1 because it is the closest region to Sympla's headquarters. Click Next Step.

Step 10. Click Create button. You will receive a confirmation message as shown below. Click on the link provided in the message to access your device information on the AWS IoT dashboard. Note down the Device ID as shown below as you will need it later on.
