The integration of Stripe and RingCentral allows users to accept payments from customers on RingCentral. For example, a user can start a conversation with a customer and can accept payments from the customer through Stripe.
There are two ways of accepting payments from customers on RingCentral. i. Accepting payments during the chat or ii. Accepting payments during calls.
In the first scenario (i), the user can simply add a button to start a conversation with the customer. The user then needs to request for payment details for future invoicing by clicking on the button and then requesting for payment information. This can be done through various mediums like email, SMS, etc. After receiving the payment information, the user can create an invoice using Stripe Billing that will be sent to the customer via email. Thus, there is no need to create any separate application to cplect payments and create invoices.
In the second scenario (ii), while having a conversation with a customer on RingCentral, the user can click on a button that displays a pop-up asking the customer to pay their dues via Stripe. The customer can choose to pay through Stripe by selecting 'Pay Now' on this pop-up. This will initiate a Stripe payment form on Google Chrome that allows the user to enter their credit card information and complete the payment. This does not require any additional app or software installation on the customer's end as it works within RingCentral.
