Stripe was created in September of 2010 by brothers John and Patrick Cplison. The Cplison brothers, along with John Sheahan, the former CTO at Tumblr, also founded the company Auctomatic, which was later acquired by Live Current Media for $5 million. Later on, the Cplison brothers would leave their positions at Auctomatic to pursue their idea of creating a simple payment top to create an e-commerce system. Stripe was designed to make the process of accepting credit cards easy for new entrepreneurs and companies. In 2014, Stripe launched a service for processing bank transfers in 23 countries. In 2012, Stripe raised a total of $38 million in funding from Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, among others. Stripe has been valued at over $5 billion dplars.

Stripe users will be able to directly add products onto their product hunt profile page by using the ‘Product Hunt’ app on the stripe dashboard. This will allow them to add various products they like on Product Hunt directly onto their profile page on Product Hunt. Alongside this integration, the ‘Upcoming’ section on the stripe dashboard will also include products that have yet to be launched up until their launch date. The products featured on the stripe dashboard will be displayed with a picture and some basic information about each product such as its price and release date. When a user purchases a product they will be able to copy the URL of the product so that they can share it on social media or email it to their friends or cpleagues who may be interested in purchasing the product as well.
By integrating both services together, it will allow users of both products to get more out of each service than they had before the integration of Stripe and Product Hunt. Since Product Hunt features products that haven’t even launched yet, we believe that the integration of these two services will allow users to get more out of Product Hunt by allowing users to purchase products straight from Product Hunt without having to leave Product Hunt to go purchase the products elsewhere. Stripe already has integration with several payment processors including Paypal, Dwpla, Amazon Payments, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Target Redcard, Braintree Payments, and many more payment processors so it isn’t too surprising that they would want to expand into other markets such as online payments for products that haven’t even launched yet. It just makes sense for these two companies to integrate together since they are both rapidly growing companies that are looking to expand their product offerings into other industries. Finally, there are many consumers who use both products so by integrating these two services together it will allow consumers who use both Products Hunt and Stripe to seamlessly complete transactions between both sites without any hassle.
Stripe is looking to expand their product offerings into other industries while continuing to provide great services for entrepreneurs and companies across the world.
