Square is a mobile payment application. It was founded by Jack Dorsey in 2009. He was also the founder of Twitter and co-founder of Twitter’s competitor, Twitpic. Square allows users to connect their credit cards and bank accounts. It then allows them to accept payments on their phones. A user can then deposit the cash they have received into their bank accounts. It was launched in April 2010 and has been downloaded over 15 million times.
