Square is a payment processing system which allows merchants to accept payments via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, and Google Wallet. It also provides software to help small businesses grow by streamlining financial management, analytics, and selling online. Square was founded in 2009 by Jack Dorsey, Jim McKelvey, and Twitter co-founder Raffi Krikorian. Jack Dorsey is best known as the creator of Twitter. Square has recently acquired Weebly, a web building top that allows people to create personal websites for free. They have also acquired other companies such as Caviar, OrderAhead, and Crashlytics. Square’s headquarters are based in San Francisco. They are currently valued at $26 billion.
Quick Base is an integrated cloud based business platform which helps small businesses connect employees to their data. It can be accessed via desktop or mobile device. Quick Base provides modules that allow users to take advantage of the fplowing functions. CRM, Accounting, Project Management, Sales Management, HR/Talent, Cplaboration, Marketing Automation, Document Management, and Analytics. These modules are all interconnected so that they form a single entity where one module will automatically update another. The goal is to provide business owners with a central place where they can access all their data without having to jump between different platforms. Quick Base was founded in 2005 by Keith Teare, Bill Campbell, and Mike Vppi. Quick Base’s headquarters are located in San Jose, California. Their current valuation is $1 billion.
Since Square and Quick Base both deal with business management and data storage then it makes sense that they would integrate together into a single entity that could be accessed seamlessly from anywhere using any type of device. This would allow users to always have their data with them no matter where they are or what they are doing. A single person could be conducting business one minute and then attend a meeting or go out to lunch with clients the next minute. If this integration occurs then the user would still be able to access important records such as customer information, sales information, employee information, and financial information from their phones. They could even make changes to their database right there on their phones if necessary.
There would be many benefits to this integration depending on how they do it. For example, if they simply connected the two platforms together then they would still be able to communicate with each other just as they do now but they would be able to easily switch back and forth between the two platforms as needed. However, if they set up some type of “sidecar” application that would allow them to run both platforms side by side on the same device then it would be much easier for users to interact with each platform because the only thing they would have to do is swipe across a device screen to move from one platform to the other. This way they could open up Quick Base on one side of the screen and access a customer record while keeping Square open on the other side of the screen for use when a customer pays for a purchase through Square. In this case there wouldn’t be a huge benefit but it would make things easier for users by eliminating the need to constantly switch back and forth between apps on their devices.
The process to integrate Square and Quick Base may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
