Integration of Square and Facebook Shops

Square is a payment processing company that provides credit card readers and software to merchants and allows customers to pay with their smartphone or tablet. Customers can swipe their card and sign on the screen and then they will be prompted to type in their personal identification number (P.I.N.. to authorize the charge. Square also has a system called Square Wallet, which has various ways of paying if one does not want to use a credit card. For example, one could pay using a debit card or using cash from an ATM machine. A customer could also identify themselves by swiping their driver’s license. A customer could also pay with the Square Cash app where they link their bank account and transfer money straight from their checking account to the merchant’s account. A customer could also pay with Square Cash by sending a text message with the amount and the merchant’s email address to 83365, which will automatically add their order to their Square account. An order would be tracked with the merchant’s name, date, time, and total, and it would be paid by their bank account once they confirm the amount. This is very important because it helps the merchant keep track of all transactions through Square.

Facebook Shops is an online store where people can buy products directly from Facebook. It is part of Facebook’s initiative to make money by growing their mobile application presence. Facebook began this initiative after they realized that many businesses are moving away from Facebook because of the small number of active users on mobile devices. This strategy has worked because Facebook made approximately $3 billion last year from mobile ads. Facebook Shops allows its users to buy products directly from Facebook without having to leave the website or app that they are using. Merchants do not have to pay any fees for setting up their account through Facebook Shops, but they must fulfill orders within three days. This helps merchants keep track of all transactions because they can easily check who has purchased what products. They are also able to ship their products within two days if their items are pre-packaged, or within three days if they are shipped individually. This is very important because it helps the merchant keep track of all transactions through Facebook Shops.

Merchants should use both Square and Facebook Shops because they help one another grow. One does not need to use both services at first, but eventually one might start using both because of how beneficial they are if used together. For example, merchants can promote their business through Facebook Shops, which causes more people to come to their store because of its popularity on Facebook. Once people purchase items at their stores, one can use Square to process payments, which allows merchants to keep track of all purchases because both services rely on each other. The integration of these two services can help merchants save money because they won’t have to pay any fees for setting up their account if they use both services together. They can also increase their profit because they can use both services rather than just one.

Square and Facebook Shops should not be integrated together because they provide their own benefits. Square mainly focuses on credit card payments while Facebook Shops mainly focuses on online shopping. Square cannot process cash payments, while Facebook Shops cannot process credit card payments. Therefore, one should not mix both services together since they are already doing well on their own without having to mix them together. However, one might mix them together at some point because usually when one service becomes successful like Square, then other companies will try to copy their idea by making similar services like Facebook Shops.

The process to integrate Square and Facebook Shops may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
