Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS. is a highly scalable messaging queues designed to enable reliable and secure message delivery between distributed applications and services. It helps in building large distributed systems that process millions of messages in seconds. It provides a simple web services interface that enables you to send messages at any time, from anywhere and from any application or device and then have them delivered to one or more destinations. In addition to sending messages, it also provides the ability to listen for messages that are sent, either by specific queues or by queues that are associated with specific topics. A queue may be used by multiple applications or components within an application, and an application may concurrently send messages to multiple queues. (https://aws.amazon.com/sqs/)
In order to integrate SproutVideo and Amazon SQS, you need to acquire the AWS credentials from your AWS IAM conspe. The IAM user needs permissions to access both of these services. Once you have permissions, you need to create credentials for both the services. The credentials for AWS are generated using IAM access keys, whereas the credential for SQS are generated using the AWS API access key.
You need to set up the SQS endpoint URL and client ID and secret key in the Sprout Video settings. You can then integrate both services by setting up the queue on the SQS service. Once this is done, you will be able to configure the appropriate integration between the two services.
Once this is configured, you can use Amazon SQS to send messages to, and receive messages from Sprout Videos. This will allow you to send large files through Amazon SQS and have them uploaded on to Sprout Videos. The files can also be played back through Sprout Videos by accessing them through the Amazon SQS endpoint URLs.
