Integration of Spotify and strava

Spotify?

Spotify is a music and video streaming service that gives users access to millions of songs. It operates on a freemium business model that allows users to listen to unlimited music for free, while others can opt for a premium subscription that also provides extra features such as offline playback and no ads.

Spotify was founded by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Stockhpm, Sweden.[6] The company claims to have over 75 million[7] active users as of June 2016, with 20 million paying subscribers as of March 2017.[8]

strava?

Strava is a fitness social network for runners and cyclists. Strava launched in 2009, and it now has about 10 million registered users. Strava’s app is free, but you can upgrade to premium options for a monthly fee. Premium users get more features, like the ability to create private challenges between friends and “segments” that give you a snapshot of how your pace compares to other athletes in your area.

Integration of Spotify and strava

In April 22, 2017, Spotify announced integration with Strava. In this integration, Strava activities will appear automatically in the Spotify app. In case you missed this announcement during the F8 conference, here is what you need to know about the integration:

Activities uploaded to Strava will appear on the ‘Recently Played’ page in Spotify. So if you love listening to music while running or biking, you’ll now see a map of where you biked or ran with corresponding activity names and times. If you want to listen to specific songs you listen to while working out again, just tap on the activity name and it will begin playing. You can also search through your favorite playlist or album while viewing your run or ride.

Benefits of Integration of Spotify and strava

The integration of Spotify and strava works both ways so it’s easy to create playlists based on your workouts. For example, if you completed an outdoor running route this morning, you could add that to Spotify along with other workout tracks to create a playlist for your next run. The same goes for indoor workouts. If you go to the gym after work every day, you can listen to your latest workout playlist while lifting weights or spinning class.

Integration of Spotify and strava makes it easier than ever to find workout playlists that are tailored to your interests and schedule. You can even schedule your own playlists using the “add-to-playlist” option in Spotify. If you like listening to one song while running fast and another when jogging slowly, it’s easy to set up separate playlists for each pace. You can also create playlists based on music you enjoy while working out or songs that remind you of past runs or rides. This way you can relive your favorite routes when you’re stuck inside on bad weather days. And in case you have an artist in mind but don’t know what songs they have in their cplection, just use the “shuffle by artist” feature in Spotify or click on the artist name in your library. When you see the artist profile, click “workouts” to see all their songs used in popular workout playlists created by other users.

The process to integrate Spotify and strava may seem complicated and intimidating. This is why Appy Pie Connect has come up with a simple, affordable, and quick spution to help you automate your workflows. Click on the button below to begin.
