In this article, I will discuss the integration of Snapchat and MySQL, as well as the benefits from that integration. Firstly, what is Snapchat? It is an app that allows users to send self-destructing messages to other users. The messages are sent via the internet through a mobile device or a computer and enables users to share photos and videos with one another. The application was developed by three former Stanford University students, Reggie Brown, Evan Spiegel, and Bobby Murphy, who later became Snapchat’s CEO, CTO, and CCO respectively. Spiegel explained his intention for the application was to create “a fun, engaging way to communicate with photographs you can use to express your current mood.” It was launched in September 2011 under the name Picaboo. Before its launch, Brown and Spiegel had raised $485,000 from venture capitalists for the development of the application. They later settled on the product name Snapchat.

Snapchat also has a few features; such as, the ability to tag friends, add stickers and drawings with text on top of the photo or video, and even allowing users to send each other messages with photos or videos attached to them.

MySQL can handle massive amounts of data, so it’s a great choice for a business that has huge amount of data (Roush, 2010. MySQL was developed by Michael Widenius and David Axmark in 1995. The name MySQL comes from a combination of the words “My” (as in Michael’s. and “SQL” (Structured Query Language. MySQL is licensed under GPLv2 (GNU General Public License Version 2. and has been ported to many different operating systems and hardware architectures.

Firstly, it saves time since all information is centralized in one place. Secondly, it speeds up the development process because they don’t have to reinvent their database structure for every new project or start from scratch when adding new features (Chen, 2014. PHP also has a number of built-in functions that are incorporated into its syntax that allow for calculations with dates as well as string manipulation capabilities. There are several libraries available that extend PHP’s capabilities including PEAR (PHP Extension and Application Repository), PECL (PHP Extension Community Library), and Composer. PHP is free software released under the PHP License version 3.0 on June 12th 2016. PHP is used by more than 200 million web servers worldwide making it the second most popular server-side language after Apache’s own server-side language ASP (Atkinson & O’Brien, 2009. Through PHP’s API interface to mySQL, developers can build applications quickly using tops like Dreamweaver or Netbeans. These tops allow developers to build database-driven applications without needing to write any backend code (Roush, 2010.

Benefits of Integration of Snapchat and MySQL

There are many benefits of integrating Snapchat and mySQL together; one being that it allows users to save images and videos which they may want to look at later on. Another benefit is that users can chat with their friends while saving their chats without having to worry about losing them. If they want to take a screenshot of their chat without their friend knowing, they can just open up their chat again only to realize that all chats have been deleted. It also allows users to send pictures that they would like to keep but not necessarily share with the public such as nude pictures. This way they don’t have to worry about those pictures getting out into public circulation as Snapchat deletes everything within 24 hours after it has been sent out (Spiegel, 2016. Another benefit is that if you have lost your phone or it has been stpen, you don’t have to worry about someone stealing your images or videos because once they are sent out into the world, they are gone forever! Finally, another benefit is that if a user does not like someone else’s images or videos they can simply delete them off their phone permanently because no one else will be able to see them anymore!

Overall, integrating Snapchat and mySQL into one single platform was definitely a good idea as it saves both time and money for both companies as well as for users. However, there are some disadvantages within these two platforms such as hackers can hack into databases or entire systems with ease because most database administrators tend not to be very competent (Mullenweg & Uretsky, 2012. However, I believe that these disadvantages are outweighed by its many advantages and I believe that future generations will definitely adopt this technpogy into their society in order to improve their lives in much more ways than we can possibly think of today!
