You can monitor progress of your projects and tasks, check for messages and alerts without interrupting your work. Your mobile phone will notify you about new messages, incoming calls, tasks completed by your team members, etc. You are in contrp of when to read messages or not. You can avoid being disturbed by messages when you are in the middle of important business conversation or during a meeting.

  • nozbe? (50)
  • nozbe is the easiest way to manage your projects, tasks and notes in just one place. nozbe helps you to be organized, successful and productive. It's easy to use and it's free! nozbe syncs with your mobile phone, desktop computer and even your iPod/iPhone/iPad. nozbe automatically keeps everything in sync so that you can always access your projects, tasks and notes anytime, anywhere.

  • Integration of SMS By Connect and nozbe (150)
  • You can easily keep up with all the latest news from your projects or tasks using SMS By Connect. You can set up SMS notification settings to filter messages according to your needs. For example, you can filter messages according to project, task or due date. You can also filter messages according to category (alarms, updates, messages. or sender (team members.

You can decide how often you want to receive messages. And you can decide how many messages to store on your mobile phone before deleting them automatically. For example, if you setup SMS By Connect to filter messages by project then you can decide that you want to receive messages only from the project manager's phone number and only for critical tasks and alarms. Then you can decide to receive messages only once a day and not to store messages longer than 2 days. With such settings you will be notified about new messages for critical tasks and alarms while avoiding storage of useless messages on your mobile phone.

How often should I receive messages? According to research people spend an average of 28 minutes per day reading emails on their smartphones, while they spend an average of 5 hours per day reading emails on their computers (http://www.cnetnews.com/8301-13505_3-20048145-37.html. If we consider that people spend an average of 8 hours per day at work and more than half of this time is spent in meetings and conversations with other people (http://blogs.zdnet.com/management/?p=1568), we might conclude that people spend most of their time away from their desks and more than 1 hour per day on their smartphones. In this case it is reasonable to assume that users will want to receive SMS notifications once a day with the most important messages from their projects or tasks.

How many messages should I receive per day? Some users might have a lot of tasks assigned to them by different team members while some users might have fewer tasks assigned to them by fewer team members. For example, a user could have a lot of tasks assigned to him by a project manager but a small number of tasks assigned by a few team members from his project team. In this case the user might need to receive messages from all team members but he might need to receive messages from the project manager several times a day because the project manager assigns a lot of new tasks to him each day. In this case it is reasonable for this user to receive messages from several team member's phones only once a day and for the project manager's phone several times a day. This way he will receive most important messages from the project manager but he will avoid receiving unnecessary messages from other team members' phones once a day. For a project manager this user would receive most important messages from the tasks assigned by him but he would avoid receiving unnecessary messages from other team members once a day. For example, a project manager has 3 team members under him working on the same project. The first team member has 15 tasks assigned by the project manager, second team member has 10 assigned by the project manager and third team member has only 5 assigned by the project manager. This means that first team member receives 15 unique messages from the project manager, second team member receives 10 unique messages from the project manager and third team member receives only 5 unique messages from the project manager per day. This way users will avoid receiving too many unnecessary messages per day but they will still be notified about important messages from the project manager even if they are out of the office or are traveling somewhere else.

Should I delete pd messages? The answer depends on how fast you work on the tasks assigned by the project manager or task assignee(s. If you finish your tasks very fast then you don't need to worry about pd messages because you will have time to read them. If your tasks are complex then it might not be worth keeping them for longer than needed so you should probably delete pd messages automatically after some period of time. The amount of time you should keep pd messages depends on your productivity level. If you are fast enough then 1 week might be enough time for you to read pd messages before they are deleted automatically. If you work slower then 1 month might be enough time for you to read pd messages before they are deleted automatically. However, I suggest that you should not delete too soon because there is always something interesting in the pd messages that you might want to read later even if it is not related to current task or due date anymore. So I suggest that you should not delete pd messages until they are pder than 1 year (or any other period of time. It is also recommended that users should be able to set up these settings manually instead of automatic deletion after any period of time because some users might prefer having pd messages deleted after some period of time since they don't need them anymore but other users might prefer keeping pd messages longer than necessary because they find it useful later for various reasons even if they are not related to current task or due date anymore (for example, reading them later can help them understand why things happened in certain way. Another reason why I recommend that users should be able to set up these settings manually is because not everyone works at exactly the same pace so it might be useful for some users who finish their tasks faster than others. Setting up these settings manually would allow them not to receive unnecessary messages because they don't need pd information anymore but at the same time they would still be able to read pd information if they find it useful later.

So what is my recommendation regarding pd message setting? I suggest that users should be able set up these settings manually instead of automatic deletion after some period of time because this way users will be able to decide how soon pd information should be deleted depending on their productivity level and preferences or they will be able to decide whether or not they need pd information later depending on their preferences. This way users will be able maximize benefits from integration of SMS By Connect and nozbe according to their needs and preferences without worrying about getting too much information from SMS By Connect if they don't need it or getting too little information from SMS By Connect if they do need it at some point in time in future.
