With the MailChimp Ecommerce Email Extension for Magento, you can generate new leads by sending product recommendations after a customer makes a purchase, upsell products to customers who haven’t yet purchased them, and remind customers about items in their cart. All of the email content is matched to the individual visitor, so you can send targeted email campaigns to boost sales.

Integration of SMS By Connect and MailChimp Ecommerce

To integrate SMS By Connect with MailChimp Ecommerce, you need to log into both accounts and create an app in the developer area of MailChimp. You will also need your API keys from MailChimp.

Next, log into the developer area of the SMS By Connect app in your account. Then, navigate to the “Account Settings” page and click on “Apps.” From there, click on “Add New App.” On the next page, enter your name (this name will be used to identify your app in the developer area), select “MailChimp” as the app type, and enter the information for your app below. For this tutorial, we will enter these values:

App Name. Your App Name (ex. “Your App Name”)

Your App Name (ex. “Your App Name”. URL. Your App URL (ex. “http://www.yourappname.com”)

Your App URL (ex. “http://www.yourappname.com”. Domain. Your Domain (ex. “domain.com”)

Once you have entered these values, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page to save your app information. Next, navigate to the “Integrations” tab on the left side of the page and scrpl down until you see “MailChimp Ecommerce.” Click on this option and you will be taken to a “MailChimp Ecommerce Settings” screen that includes a list of available apps that you can connect to your account. Select your newly created app from this list and then click on the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page to continue configuring your integration settings. This will take you to a screen where you can configure a few settings for your integration. To do this, enter these values:

API Key. Your API Key from MailChimp Ecommerce Email Extension for Magento (included in your MailChimp account)

If you want to send messages each time a customer subscribes to your newsletter (or confirms their subscription), select “Subscriber Added.” If you want to send messages when customers unsubscribe from your newsletter or when they open or click on links in your email campaigns, select “Subscriber Removed/Opened/Clicked” instead. If you want to send messages when visitors submit contact form submissions on your website, select “Contact Form Submitted.” If you want to send messages when new reviews are published on your site, select “Product Review Published” instead. Note that these triggers are only available if you have enabled reviews on your website using the Comments Plugin for Magento Community Edition extension. If you want to send messages after a user votes on any of your Facebook posts, select “Facebook Like or Share Clicked” instead. If you want to send messages when new comments are published on any of your social media profiles, select “Social Network Comment Created/Published/Clicked” instead. Note that these triggers are only available if you have linked social media profiles on Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn or Twitter to your website using the Social Login Plugin for Magento Community Edition extension. If you want to send messages after a user completes any tasks on your website, select “Create Task Completed” instead. This trigger is only available if you have enabled Milestone Tasks Magento extension. If you want to send messages after a user responds to any customer feedback questions that are published on your website using the Customer Feedback Extension for Magento Community Edition extension, select “Customer Feedback Question Posted/Closed/Viewed/Responded/Deleted” instead. If you want to send messages after a user reviews any reviews on your website using the Reviews Extension for Magento Community Edition extension, select “Review Published/Voted Up/Voted Down/Edited/Upvoted/Downvoted/Deleted” instead. If you want to send messages after a user publishes reviews on your website using the Reviews Extension for Magento Community Edition extension, select “Review Published/Voted Up/Voted Down/Edited/Upvoted/Downvoted/Deleted” instead. If you want to send messages after a user submits an order review request through an order review request form on Magento Community Edition 1.8 or higher, select “Order Review Request Submitted/Completed/Deleted” instead. This trigger is only available if you have enabled reviews for orders using the Reviews Extension for Magento Community Edition extension.
