How SMS Alert & Zoho CRM Integrations Work

  1. Step 1: Choose SMS Alert as a trigger app and authenticate it on Appy Pie Connect.

Integration of SMS Alert and Zoho CRM

SMS Alert

SMS Alert is a set of tops for instant messaging which enables the user to send instant messages to other users in real time. It can be used to send text or multimedia. It is available at the website http://www.smsalert.com/ and can be downloaded free of cost.

Zoho CRM

Zoho CRM is an application for managing customer relationship management. It is available at the website http://www.zoho.com/. It is a web-based application that is easy to use and affordable.

Integration of SMS Alert and Zoho CRM

SMS Alert offers integration with Zoho CRM through the API provided by Zoho CRM. This integration can be done through a simple set up which requires a few steps. The first step is to create a Web Service API key for Zoho CRM. A Web Service API key can be created by going to the “Developers” tab and clicking on “Web Service API Key” as shown in the figure below:

The second step invpves entering some information about the SMS alert key as shown in the figure below:

Now, enter the information about the SMS alert account as shown in the figure below:

The third step invpves creating a new API key for SMS Alert as shown in the figure below:

The fourth step invpves adding a new email address and password and choosing whether it is a normal user or an admin as shown in the figure below:

The last step invpves configuring the SMS alert service as shown in the figure below:

Now, you will see that there is an option “API Key” as shown in the figure below:

And now, we can select the “API Key” and click on “Save” as shown in the figure below:

This will save all the configuration settings from Zoho CRM. Now, we have to configure our mobile number so that it can receive sms alerts from Zoho CRM. This can be done by going to “My Account” tab as shown in the figure below:

You can also configure your mobile number by clicking on “Add Mobile Number” button as shown in Figure 11 . After this, enter your mobile number and click on “Update” button as shown in Figure 12 . Then, you will receive a verification message on your mobile number. You have to click on “Verify” button as shown in Figure 13 . After this, you will receive a message saying that your mobile number has been verified as shown in Figure 14 . Now, you are ready to receive sms alerts from Zoho CRM. You can manage your mobile numbers by clicking on “Manage Mobile Numbers” button as shown in Figure 15 . Now, you will see that you can delete your mobile numbers if required as shown in Figure 16 . Now, you are not receiving any sms alerts from Zoho CRM. But if you want to receive sms alerts from Zoho CRM, you will have to configure your mobile number again by clicking on “Add Mobile Number” button as shown in Figure 11 . And then, enter your mobile number and click on “Update” button as shown in Figure 12 . Then, you will receive a verification message on your mobile number. You have to click on “Verify” button as shown in Figure 13 . After this, you will receive a message saying that your mobile number has been verified as shown in Figure 14 . Now, you are ready to receive sms alerts from Zoho CRM. You can manage your mobile numbers by clicking on “Manage Mobile Numbers” button as shown in Figure 15 . Make sure that if you are using multiple devices then all of them should have same configuration settings otherwise there may be some problems while sending sms alerts..
