Skype for Business is a cloud-based, Internet-based and cplaborative platform that gives users the ability to communicate in various ways. It allows people to chat with each other, see each other’s live video feeds and then easily share content. Skype for Business is a replacement of Microsoft Lync. The service was released on 25 October 2015.
HubSpot is a customer interaction management system. It allows users to track, analyze and optimize lead conversion. When you integrate HubSpot with Skype for Business, you can manage your lead interactions in one place.
Microsoft Skype for Business already integrates with HubSpot, which means that you can view all your HubSpot contacts in the Skype for Business application. You can add HubSpot contacts to your Skype for Business contact list. There are two options to add a contact from HubSpot to your contact list in Skype for Business:
Automatically add a contact from HubSpot when you create a new contact in HubSpot. If you select this option, a contact will be created in HubSpot when you add a contact in Skype for Business. This means that if you want to add a contact from HubSpot to your contact list, you only need to add the contact once. Add a contact from HubSpot by selecting “Import Contacts”and choosing “Add Contacts from HubSpot.” This will open the HubSpot integration page in Skype for Business. You can then specify the account and project of the contact you want to add and whether you want to add the contact as an external partner or internal user.
You can also integrate Skype for Business and HubSpot by using the fplowing features:
View and update contacts in Skype for Business and HubSpot at the same time. You can view and update contacts in both applications at the same time. You can add contacts from HubSpot to your contact list in Skype for Business, and vice versa. Update contacts on both applications at the same time by clicking “Sync Contacts Now” in the Skype for Business integration page in HubSpot. Sync contact information about people outside your company — such as partners or prospects — between Skype for Business and HubSpot so that you always have the most up-to-date information about them. Set up tracking and fplow-up based on conversations and events in Skype for Business and HubSpot. By setting this up, you can track interactions with your contacts in both applications together so that you always have visibility into what’s happening with your leads. Track specific events in Skype for Business and HubSpot based on what happens within each application so that you always have visibility into what’s happening with your leads. For example, if someone downloads an e-book, you could create a custom event in both applications that shows when they downloaded it, which version they downloaded, how long it took them to download it, etc.
Set up email templates in HubSpot so that when someone sends an email to a contact in your account, they receive an automatic response. You can create an email template in HubSpot that automatically responds when someone sends an email to a specific person in your account. For example, if John Smith sends an email to [email protected], he would receive an automatic response from the marketing team saying something like “Thank you for contacting us! Someone will respond shortly” or “Jane Doe, marketing manager at Example Company, will be responding shortly” or “Thanks for writing about your interest in our product! We are looking forward to speaking with you!” If Jane Doe needs more information about the inquiry, she can simply reply to the email and read any additional information needed without having to send another message back to John Smith explaining why she needs more information or asking him again if he has any questions. This makes it easy to keep track of unanswered inquiries so that you can fplow up after a certain period of time passes without hearing back from the person who contacted you. This also makes it easy to see who has contacted Example Company so that Example Company can fplow up with those individuals later on. Save yourself time by not having to re-send messages that were previously sent because you can just go back into your history of messages and find previous messages that were previously sent during an interaction with a prospect, customer or partner.
