Skype for Business is an enterprise-grade software application that is used for conducting business meetings and conversations. It is a VoIP spution that is cloud-based, which means that it can be accessed from any location with internet access. To integrate Skype for Business and Downtime Alert, you must first open up the Skype for Business application by clicking on the icon in the system tray in the lower right corner of your screen.
Once Skype for Business has opened, click “Options” in the top left corner of the screen. A drop down menu should appear, in which you will select “Advanced” in order to adjust settings for specific functions.
On the Advanced Settings page, scrpl down until you see the “General” section. Select “Downtime Alert” to modify its settings. You can also reset your schedule if needed. Under Schedule Options, you can choose whether you want to receive Downtime Alerts at certain times of day, which days you want to receive them, and how often you want to receive them (daily, weekly, monthly. You can also change when your schedule begins and ends by selecting either “Create New Schedule” or “Use Existing Schedule” under Schedule Options.
