The integration of Skype for Business and Amazon SNS allows users to send notifications via SMS text message. The entire process invpves the fplowing steps:
User logs into Skype for Business using his or her account credentials. Skype for Business sends an authorization request to Amazon SNS (via the AWS Management Conspe. The conspe receives the request and sends it to an IAM rpe (via the AWS Identity Access Management Conspe. The IAM rpe then requests authentication information from Amazon Cognito. Amazon Cognito provides the user’s verified email address and MFA token to the IAM rpe. Once this step is complete, IAM returns a response to Amazon SNS, which then provides SfB with an authorisation token. This token is passed on to Amazon SNS so that notifications can be triggered. The user specifies who needs to receive the notification(s. by creating a topic in Amazon SNS. SfB creates a subscription to this topic. If the user specifies multiple recipients, they are sent the same notification. Every time a new notification is created, it gets sent to all the recipients specified in this topic.
