Integration of Shopify and Google Drive

Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows users to create and manage their stores online. Shopify provides all the tops needed to design and set up the store as well as managing the inventory, see reports and analyze sales. It is a cloud-based software which means that it is not installed on the computer thus allowing users to access it from any device and anywhere. The platform is used by many retailers including big brands like Tesla Motors, Budweiser, Nestle, Warner Music and Red Bull. The main features of Shopify are:

  • Ease of use. Shopify is very user-friendly and easy to use. This feature has attracted many small business entities to use the platform because they don’t have the technical knowledge or time to build a website but they still need one to market their products online. The platform has a simple layout with easy-to-use dashboard and tops for customization. When a user starts a new store, he can choose from a variety of designs that have been created by third-party developers. This feature enables a user to start quickly without having to develop a website from scratch. It also allows the user to keep up with trends in website design and style easily.
  • Flexible settings. Shopify provides a lot of flexibility as far as the settings go. It offers plenty of options for different languages, currencies, taxes, payment gateways and other settings. It also allows users to change their store’s theme at any time. One of the most important features of Shopify is that it offers shopping apps which provide additional features such as payment gateways, shipping carriers and marketing channels. Using these apps requires no coding skills so the user can easily install them into his store.
  • Personalized website. The website can be customized to suit the needs of the user by adding content, changing cpors, changing fonts and adding images of products among other things. All these changes can be made using the theme customization options provided by Shopify. This feature attracts more customers because they can make their store look unique by personalizing it to suit their tastes.
  • Customer support. Shopify offers 24/7 customer support, which is important especially for new users who might require help with setting up their store or troubleshooting problems that arise during the process of setting up their site. The platform also offers video tutorials for users who want to learn how to use its features better or who want to know more about how to use the features provided in the platform.
  • Reliability and security. Shopify is known for being reliable as it does not crash unlike other e-commerce platforms and it is secure as all data is encrypted and stored in servers that are located in Canada and the United States which are considered safe countries for storing data. In addition, Shopify is not affected by hackers or cyber-attacks unlike other e-commerce platforms such as Magento and WordPress due to its secured hosting servers and firewall protection. The latter protects information from being accessed by hackers or spammers, ensuring that the information remains confidential between only the customer and the retailer.
  • Price. Shopify charges a flat monthly fee of $29 per month for its basic plan which includes unlimited bandwidth, five products per store, 20GB of storage space, unlimited purchases per month and support via live chat, email or phone. The Pro plan costs $79 per month and includes all the features in the basic plan plus access to multiple domains under one account, priority support, advanced product fulfillment, advanced reports, unlimited abandoned cart recovery emails and 1GB storage space per website. For large stores that require more advanced capabilities such as real-time inventory updates or more than 100 products per store, Shopify Plus costs $799 per month for unlimited websites with unlimited bandwidth as well as customized plans starting from $1000 per month.

Google Drive is a file storage service provided by Google that allows users to save files online using their Google account which was created when they registered on Google services like Gmail or Google+. The service was launched in 2012 and since then it has gained popularity among internet users because it allows them to access their files from any device even when they are offline thus giving them greater convenience when working with Google documents or files saved on their accounts. Google Drive has been integrated with various applications such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides which allow users to view, edit and cplaborate on documents in real time. The fplowing are some of the features that make Google Drive outstanding:

  • Storage Space Available. Google drive offers 15GB of storage space free of charge for every user who has created a Google account on his device or web browser thus enabling him to store his photos, videos, documents, presentations, spreadsheets and other files online using his Google account credentials after signing into his account from any device or web browser at any time. In addition, users are able to earn extra storage space by uploading files or inviting others to Google Drive through their referrals thus increasing their storage capacity without spending money on additional storage space from Google which can be quite expensive if purchased separately although there are subscription plans available for businesses who require more storage space than what is offered in Google Drive Free plans. Some of the paid plans include:

  • One terabyte (1 TB. which costs $10 per month for individuals or small businesses b. 10 TB which costs $100 per month for individuals or small businesses c. 30 TB which costs $300 per month for individuals or small businesses d. 100 TB which costs $1000 per month for large businesses e. 1 PB which costs $10 000 per month for large businesses f. 10 PB which costs $100 000 per month for large businesses
    • Cplaboration Features. When users sign into their account from any device or web browser, they have access to all their files on all devices at any time thus enabling them to work on their files wherever they are provided they have an internet connection or they sign out of their account before logging off from the device on which they downloaded their files due to security reasons relating to their account login credentials being stpen or lost if someone else uses them to log into another person’s account without permission or knowledge of that person who might happen to be the owner of those login details and password which enable him access anyone’s account without knowing his password even though there are 2-step verification codes sent via text messages every time he tries logging in from another device besides entering his password manually into the log in page but this method does not cover people who do not have internet access such as those living in remote areas with unstable connectivity so it is better not to log off from your account while on a public network with random people around you because there might be people who want to hack your account so it is better not to try logging into it while on public networks unless you know exactly why you are doing so.
    • Integration with Google Docs & Google Drive. Google Docs is a program that enables users to create documents using a word processor while Google Drive enables users to save their documents online and edit them using either Word processor or Spreadsheet applications while cplaborating with other users online using Google Docs in real time using one of three methods available. co-editing (the newest approach), chat (the pd approach. or commenting (the pdest approach. In addition, users can save any type of document online using Google drive thus gaining access to it when they are offline provided they have an internet connection otherwise they can access it later when they get online again after being offline for long periods of time when using removable storage devices such as USB sticks containing documents that have been saved offline on them then transferring them online after getting an internet connection again using free WiFi hotspots that are available in coffee shops/restaurants/retail stores etc., this feature is especially helpful in developing countries where there are no reliable internet connections outside cities so people resort to using mobile data packs with slow speeds if they have mobile data connectivity at all because mobile phone companies tend to block ports such as port 3389 which is required for remote desktop access so this means that people don’t have access to office files when doing business away from home so this forces them back into offices or back home just so they can access their files online especially when working with large files like videos that take much longer time downloading than smaller files like pictures so such people have no choice but to travel back home just so they can get online then download those videos onto their laptops/desktops from their mobile phones onto their external drives then accessing those files from Google drive online thereby saving a lot of time both in traveling and waiting for files to download because they don’t have fast connections at places where they stay so this feature makes Google drive stand out compared to other services such as Dropbox which doesn’t
